The word is 'episode', specifically used in this context:
A boy who has a heart-attack is advised not to go out too often, otherwise he would have an episode. I wonder what 'episode' means in this circumstance.
More context:
-"If you took him outside, it'd be easy for him to have an episode'
-'if he doesn't have an episode, it'd be fine'
-if he wasn't near the hospital when one happens, it would be fatal.
-Those episodes are just fights against time.
-he's fine now, but his stamina decreases. When he has an episode, his condition can change completely.

Also, how should I understand the sentence "Those episodes are just fights against time"? Please and thank you for your help

I have been having what I consider chest "annoyances" for about the last week. I can't tell if they are heart related or muscle related. I am 27 years old and its not like I am grossly overweight. I could probably lose a couple pounds but thats about it. I did have a stress test about three months ago and passed with no problems. Heart disease does run in my family which is why I had the stress test in the first place. The pain gets worse when I move my move my chest in certain ways. Anybody have any ideas of what this could be?

My grandmother, who is at the age of 75 suffered from a heart attack on Monday. This is the 6th day that she has been in the CCU. Her health is improving, but she has developed an edema in her lungs and she now has a breathing tube through her mouth as well as a ventilator. The doctors are not saying much, but they think the heart attack was caused by atherosclerosis. She has a bit of hypertension and high blood sugar, but she takes all her medication. The doctors have put her on insulin as well to monitor it. A stent has been inserted because of the blocked artery. Does anybody know if she will fully recover or if she will have to live with a ventilator her whole life? This is the 6th day in the CCU so how much longer will it take before they take out her tube? Will the fluid in the lungs come back in the future? And my last question; Will she live through this horrible ordeal?

Thanks

My father passed away of a massive heart attack over a month ago. After the fact I tried looking up some information about it but I'mnot sure I understand it. So please, do not copy/paste information.
My dad had diabetes & high blood pressure. He stopped smoking over 10 years ago. He also had a large belly ( but his legs and arms were tiny). I know those all increased his odds of having a heart attack.
He has been eating really well for the last few years and had low cholesterol. So am I right to assume that his arteries were not blocked? He did not have a control on his diabetes...
He also passed away in the shower. Did that make a difference?
How long does the massive heart attack last before someone passes away?
I would appreciate any help I can get

My father just got a Pacemaker on Friday. I was really worried for him! The operation lasted 2-3 hours! He was in the hospital for 2 days only. He was sent home yesterday (Saturday)!
Would he be able to use the left arm like a normal person?
They told him that he can't take showers for a week, only sponge baths!
