Not if you don't mind dying of a heart attack or stroke.

As has already been stated, there are other things that can go wrong if you don't get your blood pressure under control.

See your GP.

Edit:

Who has told you that you have high blood pressure anyway? If it was your GP, surely s/he would have prescribed medication, if they felt it was warranted. If it's a friend, or yourself, you must bear in mind that there are situations where your blood pressure would naturally go higher. If it was a one-off reading, I'd still advise seeing your GP. If you regularly have high blood pressure readings, your GP can arrange for continuous monitoring, whereby you wear a monitor for a day or two.

high b/p can be dangerous - lead to heart attacks, strokes, etc: as well as having low blood pressure.
Depending also on how old you are. check with a nurse or doctor to see what your b/p is meant to be - at certain ages and fitness etc: it may not be high.

To help regulate make sure your diet is good. that is less red meats more fish and veggies and fresh fruit also cut out wine and alchol as this increases blood pressure.

Also cut out dairy such as cheese, cream, butter etc:
and only have in moderation.

people will say you need these items in your diet but actually you can get this from veggies, fish and high protein foods such as lentils, chickpeas etc:

try these things as well as exercise and i can garuntee your b/p will go down

Hypertension is one of the causes of atherosclerosis. This is the cause of ischaemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, impotence, etc.

There are many clinical studies showing that a reduction in blood pressure will reduce the incidence of these diseases. High blood pressure doesn't make you feel ill, but in the long term it will cause disease that will and it will also shorten your life.

It's not the best thing in the world as it can lead to other major health complications. There are tablets you can take tho to help to regulate your blood pressure. Also eating foods high in potassium such as bananas and avocados can lower blood pressure
