I was just wondering about something that happened today.I have been feeling a little nervous for the last few days .My son is cominig for thanksgiving and i assumed its just nervousness.I have had two doctors examine me recently and they said my heart and lungs seems fine.I was diagnosed as post tramatic stress.I am taking meds and seeing a therapist. But to get to what happened. We woke earlier than normal today and I wasn't
feeling all that weill to start with, but we got in the car and headed into town to run some errands. When we were in town i started feeling a little like I couldn't breathe and we finished our errands and drove home and when I got out of the car I started feeling weak .I came in and laid down on the couch and was feeling nauseated .My heart rate was a little elevated but not that much .I laid there for a little while and checked my pulse again it was a perfect 72 ,Its been that way ever since.I don't know if I was really ill or just a panic attack.

I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse about 3 years ago. I was told that this is not life threatening. It occurs usually every day. I even have to alter my breathing to try and prevent it from occuring, because it brings tears to my eyes, it hurts so bad. Does ayone have this condition, or know more info about it?

My husband has been hearing his pulse in his ears for about four months. We went to two doctors that says its a benign condition now worries. They both took time with him and checked him over and one found a murmur and said it was nothing to worry about ,I ask and they said no test needed. We both ask if everything was ok.They said heart was good ,lungs were good and blood pressure was good. They said that we both had post tramatic stress. He worries all the time .He doesn;t do the thing he used to do and he thinks that he has a problem with his heart since he was told that he had a mumur. He is always worried that he is going to have a heart attack because he has a murmur. He always says he feels this and that and I keep telling him the doctor said there was nothing wrong other than the PTSD.He is on meds and goes to therapy but I don't want him to feel scared. What can I do?

Don't mean to sound like a Hypocondriac but I recentlty went to two doctors ,one telling me that I had an innocent murmur and telling me that I didn't need test and the other examine me as well and had the same conclusions .Its is possible for two specialist to miss a heart condtion ?Are they trained to know what to look for when examaning you? What are the odds for this to happen?

i have been able to hear my heartbeat in my ears for over four months.I can hear it so well that its like I have a stethocope on.It was dignosed ast Patulous Eustecian tube. Before I went to the doctor with this I could hear what sounded to me like on around the fifth hearbeat my heart sounds as if its catching up,or maybe its just a consistant extra sound. While I was at the doctors officce she told me that i had a murmur .I ask if I needed test and she said no.She sent me to an ent that told me about the PET and said I didn't need extra test either. The sound that im hearing im wondering if that is what she called a mumur or is this something else that two doctors didn't notice? I am concerned about it and I also have PTSD .I also was curious if this could contribute to making that sound .Could they have missed the sound or is that maybe what they considered a murmur? My heartbeat is 72 during the day and 65 at night and about 105-115 on exertion. Is that considered ok?

My father is 60 and today he fell unconscious for a couple of seconds on the bathroom floor after he was nauseated. He's eyes were wide open and when my mother panicked and screamed...he came back to consciousness.
This is the first time this has happened.
Sometimes he sweats around the chin area and he looks like he is not all there. His eye look blurry and he looks very unhappy (almost depressed).
Not known medical conditions except for frequent urination at night. He believes it could be prostate problems....possibly even prostate cancer.
He has been exceptionally physically strong all this life and until recently he jogged on the street almost daily.
He had a drinking problem 15 years ago but he has not had any alcohol since then. He doesn't smoke or do drugs. Like most men his age....he has a little bit of a belly brought by aging ....not by obesity.
He is very stubborn and refuses to go to the doctor for fear that his company will lay him off. Plse suggest medical condition
