sounds like a panic attack. the fact that you've seen doctors recently means probably all is well. the worst thing about panic attacks (for me) is the worry that its always something worse/more serious. the combo of stress on your body from holidays, maybe not feeling perfectly healthy to start with, then your schedule being thrown off probably was just too much. if you really feel worried, though, check with your therapist and doctor. you sound like you keep up with your health, however, and are maybe just needing a little reassurance from some 'real people'.
it could also be a random reaction to your meds. if you are on something new or even when you get sick, it sometimes changes how things work, that can leave you feeling pretty odd/dizzy/palpitating heart.

Anxiety: A feeling of apprehension and fear characterized by physical symptoms such as palpitations, sweating, and feelings of stress. Anxiety disorders are serious medical illnesses that affect approximately 19 million American adults. These disorders fill people's lives with overwhelming anxiety and fear. Unlike the relatively mild, brief anxiety caused by a stressful event such as a business presentation or a first date, anxiety disorders are chronic, relentless, and can grow progressively worse if not treated.
The anxiety disorders include:
panic disorder,
obsessive-compulsive disorder,
post-traumatic stress disorder,
social phobia (or social anxiety disorder),
specific phobias, and
generalized anxiety disorder.
Each of these anxiety disorders has its own distinct features, but they are all bound together by the common theme of excessive, irrational fear and dread.
A stroke is the sudden death of brain cells due to a problem with the blood supply. When blood flow to the brain is impaired, oxygen and important nutrients cannot be delivered. The result is abnormal brain function. Blood flow to the brain can be disrupted by either a blockage or rupture of an artery to the brain. There are many causes for a stroke, as shown in the table and discussed below. A stroke is also referred to as a cerebrovascular accident or CVA.
Causes of Stroke
Blockage of artery
Clogging of arteries within the brain (e.g. lacunar stroke)
Hardening of the arteries leading to the brain (e.g. carotid artery occlusion)
Embolism to the brain from the heart or an artery
Rupture of an artery (i.e. hemorrhage)
Cerebral hemorrhage (bleeding within the brain substance)
Subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding between the brain and the inside of the skull)

Sounds like it couldn't have been a panic attack or just a spell where you didn't feel well. It definately was not a stroke as you title asks. Since things seem better know chalk it up to anxiety epsecially since you already have a diagnosis of post traumatic stress disorder.

anxiety. A common side affect of anxiety disorders(PTSD) is to self diagnose. Doctors checked you out and said you were fine. Nothing in your post indicated a stroke and everything in your post indicated anxiety. Talk to your therapist.
