I have a dull aching in my left forearm could this be heart related? I do have arthritis very bad in my left shoulder so that could also be the pain I would think.

I have taken the nuclear stress test because of palpitations and a rapid heart rate that showed up on an EKG. I was on 25mg of Toprol before that. The doctor said the test was normal but my resting heart rate is fast. He increased the Toprol to 100mg. My heartrate is not always fast and I tried to tell him that but he stood firm. Now, I still feel the palpitations but with a much slower heartrate - in the 70's. I am an anxious person - esp. when it comes to my health. I am also doing an endoscopy tomorrow and wonder if it will be safe with the palpitations. My palpitations seemed to be worse after eating but now since I've been anxious, they come and go and it makes me more anxious esp. since I've increased my medication. If someone is experiencing similar symptoms, please let me know so that I may start to calm down somewhat. Please give serious answers only since I am already very anxious about my health. Thank you.

I was listening to my 4 year old daughters heart beat through my stethoscope while she was sleeping this morning and noticed that it will beat strong and rapid and then just pause and then beat slowly for a few beats and start beating faster again then pause back to slow again. I listened to it for a while and the heart beat kept repeating this same cycle. Is this normal?

My husband has high blood pressure and has been on meds for it for 2 years now. He just went to the doctor yesterday and its still high so they increased his med intake.
We have no insurance so the meds are getting quite costly so I am posting the following question..............
? What ways can you suggest to lower blood pressure via foods or what not. He would love to be able to get off the meds.
Thanks for any and all helpfull answers. :-)

I have had a heart arrythmia since early summer of last year,it was brought on by anxiety from death of a loved one which lead to chest pains, several trips to ER,a $2000 medical bill for my dad and a appoitment with a pediatric heart specialist. They all say Im fine.I get tired real easy and I cant run from one end of house to the other without my heart going at least a pulse of 160.Its crazy,I feel that one day Im gonna be at school or at a convienence store getting a slurpie and im gonna feel my frequent chest pains and they wont go away and Im going to black out fall to the ground and die.I know its a scary thought but I feel its the truth.my arrthmia is real but I know for a fact alot of people have them, sometimes its serious medical emergency other times people have them for life.its been about 9 months since my first symptoms and nothing serious has happened.which leads to my question.

Do I have to pass out at least once to know for sure im going to die?

Thank You

Currently, I have some slight heart problem... Last time was worst and after operation abt 4yrs ago, I'm better now... but it seems get worst... I had an Abration done during the last ops... N when I went for check-up about 2 months ago, docs says I have a 'hole' in my heart... and it may due to my Abration last time... Anyway, I have no proof of it that the abration causes it, so I can't sue the doc who operate for me. Ok. Back to current situation... I'm taking 2 med about 4-5hrs per day. If I dun take it, the heart pain is so pain that I may went into hospital. Docs advise me to go for the ops to cover the 'hole' in my heart, but only have chances of 70% of success. And even success, I still need to be under medication. Only difference is I took 1 med instead of 2, and maybe 6-8hr per day. And the med is less stronger than previous...My question is, is it advisable for me to go for the ops? The med I'm having now cost abt SGD$400++ for per month medication...

Am financially not capable to pay for my child's heart operation which she really needs it now. Philippine Heart Center will charge almost half a million pesos just to close the 2 holes of the heart of my kid. Am living in Cagayan de Oro City which is one and half hour away from Manila through plane. I don't have a friend in Manila where we can stay for a while and most especially the money. My child is already 5 years old but she looks like a 3 yr old kid since children born with congenital heart disease grow slowly.

Hence, am aking anybody who could help me finance the operation of my child. She is a very active and happy child. i love my child very much.

I know God will help me.
