I don't know too much about wbc's, but I do know a low wbc is better then a high wbc. If your wbc was high, it would indicate an infection somewhere in your body. So at least you know you don't have any infections circulating in your system. If the low wbc count was serious, don't you know your physician would have told you. Hope this helps some.

This is definitely something you need to talk to your doctor about. Certainly the doctor didn't give you the results and not discuss them with you? If so (in which case I would really be surprised) you need to call that office and have the doctor call you back. Today.

Not knowing your medical history or any details it would be impossible for anyone on here to give you advice/suggestions. Please contact your doctor.

* bone marrow failure (for example, due to infection, tumor, fibrosis)
* presence of cytotoxic substance
* collagen-vascular diseases (such as lupus erythematosus)
* disease of the liver or spleen

It's SERIOUS contact your physician immediately.
