Heart attack symptoms for men and women
Common heart attack symptoms and warning signs may include:
Chest discomfort. This discomfort or pain can feel like a tight ache, pressure, fullness or squeezing in the center of your chest lasting more than a few minutes. These feelings may come and go.
Upper body pain. Pain or discomfort may extend beyond your chest to your shoulders, arms, back, neck, teeth or jaw. You may have upper body pain without any chest discomfort.
Stomach pain. Pain may extend downward into your abdominal area.
Shortness of breath. You may pant for breath or try to take in deep breaths. This often occurs before you develop chest discomfort.
Anxiety. You may feel a sense of doom or feel as if you're having a panic attack for no apparent reason.
Lightheadedness. You may feel dizzy or feel like you might pass out.
Sweating. You may suddenly break out into a sweat with cold, clammy skin.
Nausea and vomiting. You may feel sick to your stomach or vomit.
Heart attack symptoms in women
Women may experience all, none, many or a few of these common symptoms of a heart attack. For women, as for men, the most common symptom of a heart attack is some type of pain, pressure or discomfort in the chest. But women are more likely than men to also have signs and symptoms unrelated to chest pain, such as:
Neck, shoulder, upper back or abdominal discomfort
Shortness of breath
Nausea or vomiting
Sweating
Lightheadedness or dizziness
Unusual or unexplained fatigue

The warning signs and symptoms of a heart attack can include:
*Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts for more than a few minutes, or goes away and comes back. The discomfort can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain. Heart attack pain can sometimes feel like indigestion or heartburn.
*Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Can include pain, discomfort, or numbness in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw, or stomach.
*Shortness of breath. Often comes along with chest discomfort. But it also can occur before chest discomfort.
*Other symptoms. May include breaking out in a cold sweat, having nausea and vomiting, or feeling light-headed or dizzy.
Signs and symptoms vary from person to person. In fact, if you have a second heart attack, your symptoms may not be the same as for the first heart attack. Some people have no symptoms. This is called a "silent" heart attack.
The symptoms of angina can be similar to those of a heart attack. If you have angina and notice a change or a worsening of your symptoms, talk with your doctor right away.
Know the warning signs of a heart attack so you can act fast to get treatment. Many heart attack victims wait 2 hours or more after their symptoms begin before they seek medical help. This delay can result in death or lasting heart damage.
If you think you may be having a heart attack, or if your angina pain does not go away as usual when you take your angina medicine as directed, call 9-1-1 for help. You can begin to receive life-saving treatment in the ambulance on the way to an emergency room.

i see that your a female and there are a few differences between female and male heart attacks. males typically have left arm pain or shoulder pain the pain can even go into the jaw area. pain can come in the form of a sharp pain or a dull ache others may have pressure like there is something siting on there chest. females on the other had have some different signs the may feel they are having indigestion and a women's pain may radiate into her back or right arm some may even experience pain in the jaw area. so if you are experiencing any of these pain you may want to be checked by a doctor and get a baseline EKG and some blood work done but do not let the symptoms go on because more of the heart muscle may die and it will be harder for recovery.

Shortness of breath.Sometimes it feels like an elephant sittin on your chest.Sometimes you'll have an aching type pain radiating down your left arm.Other times it can be nothing more than a bad ache in your jaw that makes you think you've got a bad tooth. You may get light headed or dizzy. You can have a combination of these or simply just one.The intensity of these symptoms vary from case to case.

it can vary from person to person. There's the classic symptoms - chest pain that last for longer than 15-30 minutes and not relieved by nitroglycerin, chest pressure, tightness in chest, pain radiating down the left arm, pain up the left jaw, shortness of breath, feeling of impending doom (person feels like they are dying).
There's also not so classic symptoms - feelings of indigestion or heart burn, or simply keeling over dead, and there are a few people who have had a heart attack, and don't know it because they didn't have any symptoms of one.
