Blockage of the heart can be cleared by either a heart bypass surgery or angioplasty. It does not mean that your friend is dying. I am sure her cardiologist has discussed the options with her. If she has not seen a cardiologist, she should go asap.

Don't panic-think positive! These things happen to millions every day! They have so much modern technology that heart conditions are like everyday medicine! Heart transplants are done everyday of the week too with people living 20 years or more! Calm down and get a grip before you have a heart attack!
Anyone know where the "DOC" got his expertise from? He's way out in left field on this one!
A "block" is an occlussion of one or more blood vessels! A blockage in any heart vessel can be fatal The LAD is known as "the widow maker"! Has nothing to do with "pace makers"!

A heart block is not fatal if treated. Usually what doctors mean by that is that there is something preventing conduction of electrical signals in the heart, causing it to beat much more slowly than it should. If your friend really has a complete heart block, then she needs a pacemaker, but by itself, it's not a fatal condition.

You just stated your friend is being followed by the MD's. I therefore assume they are doing the right thing and treating her correctly. You are right to be concerned:
if she faints, or complains of chest pain or shortness of breath, or is dizzy or pale or weak, you should call 911 or get the patient to the MD ASAP. However, I don't think you are going to help either yourself or your friend with worrying about her death....be her friend and concentrate on knowing what to do and when to do it. Take a first aid class and a CPR class. 911 is your friend also, do not hesitate to call if need be.
