I have a severe heart ailment and need to have low blood pressure. I now have found that it is rising and the doctor "thinks" it is due to my rather heavy daily insulin intake.

I don’t know what to do anymore. I am seeing an endo for my low (60) and somewhat high (200) sugar level. They can’t find anything wrong. My worst symptoms are the shakes and near faint. We noticed that my triglycerides are high. I use to weight 110 lbs and now I weight 119lbs over 1 month. I am not doing anything different. I had to buy bigger clothes. I’m scared. Diet does not work too, because my shakes are really bad. Is this normal? Nobody is worried, because they thought I was skinny at 110lbs 5ft 1in. But 10 lbs in 1 month and not fitting in my clothes anymore … Thanks

:-)

Im kind of confused after reading articles about Lyrica. I recently had cervical spine surgery and now I am having pains at the base of my skull shooting up to my ears and to my temples. My nuerologist says it could be nerve damage and prescribed Lyrica. It seems to me Lyrica is for nerve damage caused by diebetes or shingles. Should I question my doctor further on her reasons on prescribing this for me? I don't want to bother taking something that can be addictive and won't help my particular nerve issues. Has anyone else been prescribed Lyrica for your nerve issues? If so, did it seem to help? I am only taking 50mg 3 times a day right now.

My mom is being treated for diabetes. She is treated through oral medication by her doctor. She has tried excercising and eating right, but her sugar level still shows that it is consistently elevated lately. She thinks there is something going on in her body that is preventing her sugar level from going down.

What kinds of things could be going on? She doesn't have a sinus infection or anything obvious. I'm asking what are the not-so-obvious things that maybe she hasn't thought of.

My boyfriend is a complete miracle. He is 42 and is a brittle diabetic. He manages his diabetes with two different insulins, but he can go as low as 40 then as high as 500 all in the span of 24-48 hours. I am not a doctor but I am sure that this can not be healthy. He has had a life full of drinking, unhealthy eating, unmedicated mental illness, and drug abuse. This past year he has cleaned up his act and is really working hard on getting his diabetes under control. I know a pump is his answer. He is regulating his mental illness with medication under the care of a doctor and is doing 95% better as far as eating goes. Because of his bi-polar condition he is on SSI and Medical. I need to know if anyone has heard of Medical covering the Pump or if there are any other options. . .charities, or foundations that supply pumps to those who are in desperate need. I have a few friends who work for a major supplier of "pumps", but they don't know either. Please HELP!

I've noticed sometimes when my levels are up, my eyes are more green, but when they're normal, they're more blue... is this just coincidental or does my levels really affect the color?
