This is only a personal opinion, but i would not.I think Spelenda could contribute to the formation of kidney stones.Stay with sugar, just restrict the amount they eat.Educate yourself about products that contain sugars of all kinds and avoid or limit products made with or have added sugars such as fructose, dextrose, corn syrup & solids etc...

I have heard good and bad about splenda. I am a type 1 diabetic and have 2 kids. I use splenda and my kids do eat it (very little of it though) 3 years before the diabetes I wouldn't touch it though. So you have to research it and decide for yourself what is best for your family. (I wouldn't give it to a 2 year old at all )

Actually, if you have young children, I would recommend not doing that. Splenda and all artificial sweeteners have chemicals in them that are very controversial in their effects, especially for children. Right now, I would be better safe than sorry, especially for your two year old. Good luck!!! And you can always just use less sugar instead of switching to artificial stuff.....

My family no longer uses regular sugar for anything..all I use is Splenda. It is still made from sugar, just processed differently, so its not necessarily better for you-just easier for the body to metabolize.
