I have diabetes and am on med that increases chance of stones. I've heard they are painful, and I DON'T do pain, so I need to avoid these!
I've heard that citrus was good. Then I heard that grapefruit was the worst, but that lemon was still okay.
I heard that cranberries were the ticket, so I've been eating and drinking all things cranberry, but yesterday I read that they are terrible.

I am a big dude- 5 foot ten, weighing about 280. My Mom has Type II diabetes (I believe- not sure if it's I or II), and I am afraid I may be at serious risk for diabetes. Does diabetes skip a generation?

I also have extremely high blood pressure.

However, I often have kidney stones...doesn't this indicate that my body produces a large amount of insulin? Hence, won't my chances for developing diabetes be diminished?

Please help with any info/comments. Thanks!

My husband has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and High Cholesterol. In supporting his "new" Diabetic diet, I have opted to be on a Diabetic Diet with him. Also, my daughter is 10, and she is very thin, I was having her do this diet as well, but allow her to eat "junk" food on occasion. Is it nutritionally safe for my child to do a No Sugar/Low Fat diet as well?

my daughter uses an pump for her diabetes she uses button cell batteries size 357 energizer I was wondering where she could get them cheeper it takes 3 of them and they cost around 3 dollars each. I would like to get them in bulk then maybe it would be lots cheeper and i was wondering if Canada has a retailer that sells them cheeper than in the U.S.

My doctor says it will "sort itself out" but I am only 65- I cannot spend the rest of my life feeling like this, and it is so bad am contemplating suicide because I just have no quality of life at all. Anybody, please please help???
