I guess it could be possible that sex could increase your glucose.... especially after ejaculation. When you ejaculate there is a rush of epinephrine and norepinephrine (adrenaline). This causes your heart to race, blood pressure to increase and also your liver to release glucose from glycogen. I am assuming that you are a diabetic... for most people, sex does not alter blood sugar at all (because the body is very good at keeping blood sugar constant... that is, unless you are a diabetic).

actual. food has an instantaneous effect on blood glucose ranges. Many ingredients have evidently happening sugar in them and reason the blood glucose ranges to upward push. in certain ingredients in the carbohydrate class (grains, pasta, bread, etc) can make blood glucose upward push significantly. In a common man or woman the pancreas secretes insulin which counteracts the sugars, returning the blood glucose aspect to standard with out delay. In a diabetic, both the pancreas would not secrete adequate insulin or an abnormally in the way the body makes use of the insulin that's produced makes for a discrepancy between what volume of insulin is necessary and what's available. that's that discrepancy that motives the better blood glucose aspect in the diabetic.

sex can actually increase BGs for Type 2 diabetics. Sexual activity uses blood glucose for energy, BGs become lower, liver produces glucose from stores, BGs elevate as a reaction to activity. it's a phenomenon many Type 2 diabetics experience with exercise. a light snack before "exercise" or sex can prevent low BGs if you notice a trend for that to happen during said activities!

My husband has type II diabetes. Does it make you feel bad(sex, not the diabetes)? Is that why you checked your glucose?
An increase in glucose is counter-intuitive. But Ben, MD's answer makes sense to me.
