I get a small painful bump on the roof of my mouth when I eat certain foods. It goes away with in minutes after I stop eating. Today it was a ham & cheese sammich with mayo & mustard. Whole wheat bread. I've eaten the same sandwich on other occasions without this happening. It's very intermitten. Also, it occurs with other foods sometimes :(

If an eyedrop hits them wrong they sting realy bad and turn red all over. I do not have a vision problem and I don't wear contacts or glasses. What is this and how do I fix this?

(without anything embarassing, like having to put hemeroid cream on my eyes or something like that)

Its like this: my sister's body broke out in hives after she had her baby (days after having the baby). My grandma seemed to think it was her body reacting to the recent stress off having the baby and put her on a mess of vitamins. I went over to see my sister and she was showing me what was wrong. A couple days later I find hives on my stomach. I wake up the next morning and they are worse. A day later i find them on the inside of both of my arms. That night it looks like they are starting on the side of one of my lower legs.

They don't appear to be inflamed like my sisters and they don't really itch (my sister complained about itching a great deal).
So what is the deal??? Please help.

I did have a very brief case of eczema about 10 yrs ago but I have never had hives or anything like this before.

I just started getting an allergic reaction to alcoholic drinks. It happens after only about 1/4 of a drink. I get a bright red "mask" type reaction that feels like I'm sunburned. It disappears after I take Benadryl.

I am at my wits end with her as her bahavior is TERRIBLE when she has an ear infection and she is in pain all the time. For over a month me and my dad have all of a sudden broken out in hives. And I don't know whats causing. And how to get rid of them. We've tried everything. We tried using less detergent in our clothes because we thought that was the problem. I was told by someone that it could be an allergic reaction to something, but I can't figure out what can be cause us to break out in hives and I don't even know if hives is the right terminology. It could be a rash. But I don't know. If anybody could tell me whats wrong with my dad and me that would be nice. Thanks

Hi everyone,
I know this question has prob been asked before, but I have had a look throught past answers and cant find anything that really fits. My prob is I have really dry cracked hands that bleed and burn, it feels like really bad sunburn. They caome and go getting really bad then going away for months. I have tried changing soaps detergents etc but nothing seems to make a difference. I know this seems trivial but sometimes they hurt so much I feel like crying. Just wondered if anyone knew what caused this and how I can stop it? Any help would be appreciated, thanksXX

I am allergic to many seasonal things, both indoor and outdoor, like mold, pollen, dust, ragweed, etc. I started taking Zyrtec to control my nasal symptoms and it has helped immensely. However, my eyes are always slightly pink, and often become very red and itchy. My optometrist prescribed me Patanol eye drops, but they don't seem to be working. I have tried many over the counter versions as well such as Visine and Opcon, but they only work temporarily and my eyes are red again with a few hours. I also have contacts, and the drops are not supposed to be put in while you are wearing contacts which becomes quite a hassle particularly at work. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I thought of this just now because today is Valentine's Day, and all the ladies in my office got roses. :)

I've known people with dozens of different allergies (to plants, animals, foods, etc.), and I've heard of dozens more allergies that exist -- some very odd ones -- but I've NEVER heard of anyone being allergic to roses.

Is anyone here allergic to roses, or know someone who is? Just curious. Thanks! :)

In the past, I would get sneezes and runny nose from allergies in the spring. But last year, the runny nose stopped and my symptoms became a dry stuffed up nose. I have tested allergic to Bermuda grass.

Everytime the air conditioning starts (with either cool or warm air), I start sneezing!
What's the deal?
Am I allergic to something in the air, or is the a.c. messed up?

Thanks!

A month ago I had a RAST blood test done for the following allergens: wheat and gluten. My results came back as slightly intolerant to wheat and negative for gluten. What I'm wondering is if this mean I'm in the clear or would I need a different test to make sure? I'd ask the allergy clinic about it but it's a small office and the doctor is always really busy. ---- Also, I read somewhere that if someone is intolerant to something, they can eventually re-introduce it back into their system after a substantial amount of time.. is this true and if it is, about how long should it be? ---- Thanks :)
