I have been taking Zyrtec for over a year now, and I never noticed any mood changes. (I had a serious mood change with a heart medication I once took, though, only lasted a week)
I can't live without Zyrtec.. it's the only thing that protects my allergies from house dust, dust mites and that DARN cat of ours.
You may want to discuss this side effect with your doctor.

I have been on Zyrtec for an allergic reaction around my eyes for about a month now. My doctor suggested that I take it at night because of its drowsy effect. I have not had any personality changes and I think it is because I take Zyrtec at night.

I looked it up and found this
Psychiatric: Abnormal thinking, agitation, amnesia, anxiety, decreased libido, depersonalization, depression, emotional lability, euphoria, impaired concentration, insomnia, nervousness, paroniria, sleep disorder.
I guess its more of a person to person basis what effects it has. You may need to talk to the prescriber about another prescription. Good luck.
