a hot shower and one or more of the following honey and tea
vicks vapor rub also this may seem weird yet is a great great fixer get some corn on the cob and pour the water after boiling it into a tea cup and drink it it contains a lot of vitamins and is a quick long term fix also the frozen corn on the cob works as well avoid milk and chesses as this will cause flem build up and only make matters worse good luck

get an old pot and put some vapo rub and boiling water into it and put a towel over your head and breathe in the vapors. my grandma used to feed us kids butter and honey mixed together and a teaspoon full of that would coat your throat. take it before bed time. it does work. also try drinkiing some honey lemon tea.

You might be getting a cold. What seems to help me is taking zinc lozenges. I buy the generic ones from Wal Mart that are a knock-off of Cold-Eeze. It's worked for me the past few times, so maybe there's something to it.
