As long as you dont mind then I dont see what the problems are...except for the vitamin area. If you are getting rid of the milk quickly, then your body isnt having time to get the nutrients from it.

I am lactose intolerant as well. There are many products out now that contain the enzyme needed to break down Lactose. The enzyme is Lactase. Milk products like Lactaid, or Dean's are very good. But also depending upon your severity of reaction to consuming lactose, try using "Lactaid fast act" which is a tablet to eat prior to consuming any product you know has lactose in it.

Give soy beverages a try, I like the Mocha Soy....Yummm. It you try soy and don`t like it, you can use Lactaid. Lactaid is a product available to those who still want to drink or consume dairy but don`t want the uncomfortable symptoms of lactose intolerance. It`s basically an enzyme, ( in pill form) that helps you break down the sugars that are naturally there in dairy products. Take the pills before you consume dairy, it won`t work otherwise ..

No. If you want the benefits of milk take calcium pills with vitamin D. No upset tummy. I don't drink enough milk so this is what the doctor has me do.

It is fine to drink regular milk if you are lactose intolerant. In fact, I actually recommend it to people planning to travel in a closed vehicle with companions they want to offend with raunchy flatulence. Some people actually embrace their lactose intolerance and use it as a weapon with great success. One of the guys I work with actually refuses to see a doctor for fear his ability to fart might be diminished.

In Australia you can buy in the dairy department dairy milk, lactose free. It sits alongside all the other skim, trim, full fat,low fat, milks. It still has all the same calcium etc. as the others.

you can drink it. it may tear you up a bit, but you can drink it. OR, have you tried the lactose intolerant pills you can take -- they allow you to drink the milk with no problems.
i am lactose intolerant. i find that if i drink whole milk, it doesn't bother me that much. however, if i drink 2% or skim milk (gross anyway) that it does bother me.

try some lactaid beforehand or something. You can get all of the vitamins out of taking a liquid calcium+magnesium.
