My 2 and a half year old just had a sever vomiting and broke out into hives. His breathing is fine and he's napping. His eaten lots of peanuts and peanut butter, but just had some mixed nuts for lunch. Could that be it or is he just sick?

Also called Nalcrom and Cromolin. Is because it's made in Canada? I took it for years when I lived in Canada for food allergies, but when I tried to get it in California, the pharmacists had never heard of it. It's a pity because it could give relief to millions of sufferers from food allergies and I know it used to be availabe here. (Not lactose intolerance)

I have polymorphous light eruption (sun allergy) and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything I could do on my own to help. I wear a sun hat in the garden, and try to have sunblock on as much as possible, but I didn't know if there was anything more I could do.

I'm not too old (28) but have found that I have suddenly developed an interlorance to milk. Without being too graphic. If i have just a couple of tea in the morning, I am usually ok, but if i have it with say toast, i need to go to the loo STRAIGHT away! I only had this the past six months or so! Any ideas?

My daughter is very allergic to dogs and cats. She loves animals so much though I have been considering a hamster? Does anyone know if the hamster is in the same ballpark? I would hate to get her one and have to take it away. I do not know anyone with hamsters so she has never been around any. Thanks in advance

When my allergies are bad I experience throat tightening/breathing problems. I have very mild asthma and all throat and chest tests were normal. It seems as if allergens are causing my throat to swell making breathing difficult. I do use inhalers for this with only varied benefit (sometimes it helps and somtimes not). Any suggestions or advice? I have always had bad allergies, recent sinusitis and recent thraot tightening (past 2 years or so). Thanks!

I have this rash that appears when I am exposed to cold air. It doesn't matter if I am inside (in air-conditioning) or outside, but after about 30 minutes of being exposed to cold air, I break out into small erasure/dime sized hives on my arms, hands, legs, kness and sometimes feet. It's extremely itchy, and goes away with benedryl or getting back into the heat. It's been going on for about a month now and getting progressively worse. Any insights?

I think I developed an allergy reaction to elastic! It started when I wore a tshirt/bra combo and noticed red itchy bumps around my waist, where the shirt ended, and shoulders. So I stopped wearing them for awhile, like 6mos, started again and this time, the bumps migrated to the area around my hips and upper thighs. Now, I'm left with blemishes from the bumps. I tried other brands of women's panties to no avail, but am now wearing men's boxers and briefs-which are comfy! But I was curious if anyone else has these problems!

My 13 yr old child was sick all last yr, w/headaches, dizziness, nausea and sore throat. The school year was a struggle, but she made excellent grades(missed 20 days). MRI, ultrasounds-all negative, pediatrician recommended a therapist, diagnoses- depression, but once school let out symptoms went away. Now that school starts up, symptoms are back. I looked at the dates when the symptoms started and it was around 23 Aug fro this yr and last yr. Coincidentally, her period started for the first time around 23 Aug of last yr!
She says its different from last yr, she thinks its just her allergies. I don't know-she seems fine on the weekends. Now she says her stomach burns along w/sorethroat, headaches, congestion, nausea-no vomiting,no temperature, no dizziness(so far!). Summer was fine and its starting again! We live in Columbia, SC-which isn't good for allergy sufferers. Zyrtec didn't work last yr, currently on Clarinex and Nasacort, started that 4 days ago. Please help, going nuts!

My great-niece had a bout of diarrhea with occasional vomiting 3 weeks ago after having visited another aunt's home, with a cat. She had another overnight visit with that same aunt on this past Saturday, and now has started another bout of diarrhea and vomiting. Her mother was asking if the two events could be connected.
