I have allergies. I take Alegra & Flonase, but it's my eyes that are burning & feel dirty. I tryed 3 different eye drops,& a wet cloth. It was a bit cold here a few days ago,but the weather has gotton hotter,so my eyes bother me again. Anyways,do you have any suggestions for me?

* I also asked my mom if we can close all the windows & turn on the ac,but she said no,even after I explained my problem.

You may have allergic conjuctivitis which is common in nasal allergy sufferers. Are you getting any discharge as well?

The fact that you said "your eyes feel dirty" might be due to the inflammed conjunctiva rubbing against your eye. This can be managed with a corticosteroid eye drop prescribed by a doctor, but many of the over the counter eye drops will not take care of the problem.

I would highly recommend going to an opthalmologist or if that is not an option a GP and having him take a look to make sure there is no other significant problems. Don't wait too long!

I have that problem myself. It was so bad that my eyes would burn while I was driving and I would have to pull over. Several years ago, my eye doctor talked me into getting contacts, I told him about how my eyes would burn from allergies, so he got me into some that had extra water and moisture. That has really helped me. AS long as I have my contacts in my eyes don't burn, if I wear my glasses they do. I guess it is because the contacts keep the stuff from getting to my eyes. I know that sounds weird, But that is the solution I found without trying. However, if you don't wear glasses, that is not an option.

I also have bad allergies and take Allegra and Flonase. For my eyes I take Patanol, which is a prescription. I haven't found any over-the-counter drops that have worked for me, yet. Hope this helps!

Those don't work for me either. I take the Advil Allergy and Sinus. No drwosiness and I'm clear headed, no sneezing or itchy eyes all day. When I forget to take that, I take the Benadryl DE, I think it's called. That works wonders too.

The only eye drop that helps my eyes is called Opti-con A. I found it at CVS Pharmacy. I also tried Visine, and other brands, but those didn't help at all.

Good luck, and before you know it winter will be here so you're eyes won't hurt anymore!

I think you should try Zyrtec-D. It's worked for me for a couple years now.
