Also called Nalcrom and Cromolin. Is because it's made in Canada? I took it for years when I lived in Canada for food allergies, but when I tried to get it in California, the pharmacists had never heard of it. It's a pity because it could give relief to millions of sufferers from food allergies and I know it used to be availabe here. (Not lactose intolerance)

I don't think it's banned.
Cromolin is sold in the US under the brand name Intal. You should ask your physician about it if you used it in the past and know you may need it. Intal's mode of delivery is via inhaler.

becuase our dumb government outlawed importing any drugs that are made outside the country (specifically aimed at canada becuase drugs are cheaper) you can thank the Bush administration for it.
