I have this rash that appears when I am exposed to cold air. It doesn't matter if I am inside (in air-conditioning) or outside, but after about 30 minutes of being exposed to cold air, I break out into small erasure/dime sized hives on my arms, hands, legs, kness and sometimes feet. It's extremely itchy, and goes away with benedryl or getting back into the heat. It's been going on for about a month now and getting progressively worse. Any insights?

Thats a really weird rash then, is there a high allergies warning going on for where you live?
Maybe what happens is that when you get cold, instead of goosbumps, you get these ostrich (?) bumps and they're all itchy and stuff because your body sends out the signal to release some sort of ... chemical that causes them to be really itchy.
Just a theory

Visit your doctor and find out what it is, not what it might be based on the opinions of people who have no medical training but like to sit at their computers passing out advice without knowing everything there is to know in your case.

LISTEN TO ME! I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN MAY 2006. AND I STILL HAVE IT! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOW! I DIDN'T ACT AS WISLEY, AND NOW I HAVE SCABS ON MY BACK, ARMS AND THIGHS BECAUSE OF MY ITCHING. IT MAY TAKE 6 MONTHS FOR ME TO HEAL. I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE VERY ITCHY. I HAVE/HAD THE SAME SYMTOMS AS YOU, AND IT IS NOT GETTING ANY MUCH BETTER. SEE A DERMATOLOGIST ASAP. I WISH I WERE YOU SO I COULD HAVE GOTTEN HELP SOONER! I KNOW IT'S HARD, BUT DO NOT ITCH THEM. I STILL AM TRYING NOT TO ITCH THEM. AS I AM TYPING THIS, I AM ITCHY. NOW I ONLY WEAR LONG SLEEVED SHIRTS, BUT SINCE MY SCHOOL REQUIRES ME IN THE MONTHS OF MAY AND SEPTEMBER, I HAVE TO WEAR THE SHORTS. BUT I WEAR MY SCHOOL SWEATSHIRT BECAUSE WE ALSO WEAR A POLO SHIRT. ACT NOW! SEE A DERMATOLOGIST ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Have they tested her for the flu. The A strand is going around like crazy and many of those symtoms are that of the flu.
