I read that taking 1/2 teaspoon a day of cinnamon will lower one's blood sugar. I told my husband to do this..and lo and behold..within one week..it went down from 140 to 107. Yes, he does exercise and he is watching his food intake..but he did this before the cinnamon.

My question is: I once was told to take deep breaths before a blood pressure reading so my reading would go lower ..which it did of course..but someone else said..don't do that..you are getting a false reading. ..

so my question here is 'taking the 1/2 tsp cinnamon' seems to have lowered his blood sugar readings..is this giving a false reading???or is anything good to do...if the reading is lower/in normal range??

I've never had allergies to shell fish before, but last time I went to a shrimp boil (it's a Louisiana thing) I had what I THINK might have been an allergic reaction. The skin around my mouth and nose turned red, and my epilepsy started acting up. So, I'm not sure if it was the shrimp, or maybe just the spices on the shrimp, or if it was just my epilepsy doing something weird. Are there any medical tests that can be performed to determine allergies to shell fish?

Can low blood calcium levels cause chronic tiredness? I've had my thyroid and parathyroid checked and they came back okay.

I'm taking calcium and vitamin D supplements now, but am still feeling very tired all the time.

i have an underactive thyroid, i am just wondering if anybody else has had my symptoms. I have occasional chest pain, numbness in my head and extremities occasionally, pressure in my temples, mood swings, tiredness, anxiety. I have been told it can show up in many ways and copy symptoms of other diseases, is this the case? i would just like other peoples points of view. Thanx :)
