If my Doctor found I have chlamydia and was treated with Azithromycia 250 mgs does that mean I automatically have HIV?

My Mother in-law has emphysema from smoking... she still continues to smoke, (her family members have tried everything to get her to stop smokeing tho) I am not sure what emphysema is tho... can someone tell me all about the dieses or tell me a website to go to that will? thanks

4 weeks ago I started walking 2 miles/day and eating a heart healthy diet. My blood pressure has fallen from 150/100 to 128/80 in that time. I plan to continue. What other things can I do to keep my blood pressure under control.

A white light in the left side of my left eye. When I look right, it goes from bottom to top. When I look left, it goes from top to bottom. This started a week after having my eyes examined for new glasses and after wearing the glasses for one day.

I just recently got a job where I do a lot of manual labor as well as a lot of walking back and fourth. Because of this I have some blisters on my feet and on the palm of my hands from the leather gloves that I have to wear. They're not too bad right now but I'm afraid they will get worse.

The medical industry is quick to rely on what they have been told in/re cause of diabetes. There is no empirical evidence to draw on. So does obesity cause diabetes or is it just an early manifestation of it? Is there a yet to be discovered agent of transmission that makes diabetes communicable?

A friend of mine ( 23 yrs old) was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in July. She has no medical insurance, but Medicaid will probably kick-in soon. She has also received many generous donations; however, this can only go so far since medical costs are so high. Does anyone know of any place to try to find funds or financial aid for a person in her situation. She lives in Brooklyn, NY. if that helps any.

I female relative had a stroke and seems to be partially if not fully paralized on one side. Currently she is in some type of nursing home --- at a cost of $8000 per month. She would like to move back home ---- but she needs some type of 24/7 caregivers. She also needs, I believe, some type of therapy for her left arm and leg ...... to try to perhaps keep them mobile. Currently she is not getting any therapy. Is there any hope or help out there ????

My daughter is going in for her Hemi-Fontan procedure, the second procedure to help her with HLHS. I was just wondering if anybody knows someone with the same condition? I haven't had the stomach flu since I was 11. I am 20 now, and it has finally struck again! I am on Pepto, Tylenol, and a prescription for it. But, I still feel AWFUL. The very idea of food is sending me running to the bathroom, so I haven't been able to eat anything, but I am staying hydrated. Does anyone have any at-home feel better tricks to share? Thanks.

OK Please noone yell at me,I had doublebypass 3 years ago and diabetes type 2 since last sept.I started smoking again last year,we live on a farm in the middle of nowhere, cannot drive at night,night vision shot because of meds, have no friends here,cannot sub candy etc.I think it is a crutch for me because of lonliness etc.any suggestions?

Every couple weeks my son will be feeling completely fine and will all of a sudden get a horrible cough. No other symptoms other then vomiting sometimes. Then he will get right up and be totally fine and doesn't act like he is feeling sick at all.
