Do you have cervical cancer? Does someone you know have it? If you haven't already, you will have a hysterectomy. You will also have your ovaries and falopian tubes removed. I won't kid you..... it's very painful. I had it done when I was 25 years old. I had the very start of cervical cancer, but this is not why everything was removed. I also had fibroid tumors that made my uterous the size of a large cantalope. I looked to be 8 months pregnant. Most likely you will live so don't be scared. Just because you hear the "BIG C WORD" doesn't mean you're going to die. The doctors will more than likely remove any lymph nodes close by too. They will leave that up to you. Say yes! Cancer likes to hide in those buggers for some reason. My friend had stage 4 ovarian cancer and she is fine now. I told her to remove the lymph nodes and they did and she is still fine. It's been 6 years now. It's been 11 years since my surgery. You will be just fine, or a friend or whoever you are talking about and you will live. If you do have cancer, They give you all of your options right then. Please don't worry about death because as soon as people hear cancer.. they always jump to that conclusion and that's not always the case. Take care of yourself and I will pray for you.

This is not a death sentence. Seek treatment. A friend of mine had cervical, vaginal and uterine cancer ,so obviously her cervical cancer went undetected for some time. She had a hysterectomy and radiation rods implanted. This was 13 years ago and she has had no recurrence of cancer.

I had it and ended up getting a partial hysterectomy. I can't have kids but I'm still alive. Yes, there are treatments other than what I had. Chemo for one.
