A white light in the left side of my left eye. When I look right, it goes from bottom to top. When I look left, it goes from top to bottom. This started a week after having my eyes examined for new glasses and after wearing the glasses for one day.

you need to go back to the eye doctor as this is not normal.

I would go to the doctor ASAP. A light in the eye can be a symptom of a torn retina. If it is a torn retina, and you don't treat it right away, you may have permanent sight loss.

It is probably just a Vitreous Detachment but can be a Retinal Tear or detachment. I would see an Ophthalmologist ASAP.
