When I have a cold or flu it usually ends with a very dry painful cough. Coughing fits start with little or no warning and remind me of when I had whooping cough as a child. These spasms can be very frightening leaving me fighting for breath and feeling totally exhausted, and the current cough is the worse I have experienced for years.

So far I have tried Pholcodine dry cough linctus, but this doesn't seem to be working very well this time.

As I have Diabetes type 2 I have seen a doctor, and been put on a course of antibiotics.

As winter hasn't started yet I am dreading the next few months, and would also like to know if there is anything I can do or take as a preventative for the future. I will be particularly interested to know of any alternative remedies
.

I know all the traditional methods; Lysine 3 times a day and abreva. I am just wondering if anyone has anything they do. It doesn't matter if it is weird. If it works I want to hear about it. Thanks so much!

my 75 days old son has the following symptoms
breathing rate--- he has a fast breathing rate,,,,color changes---- the colour of his nails is blue sometimes -- grunting ---- he gruntns while he takes every breath.... nose flareing---- his nose flares while takeing breath....retractions
The chest appears to sink in just below the breastbone with each breath - one way of trying to bring more air into the lungs

sweating
There is be increased sweat on the head, but the skin does not feel warm to the touch. More often, the skin may feel cool or clammy. This may happen when the breathing rate is very fast.-
wheezing
A tight, whistling or musical sound heard with each breath he takes .so all this symptoms have been there since the day he has been born.therefore i took my son to a pediatric he saw all the symptoms and refered my kid to an EAR NOSE THROAT sepeclist.so the ENT seplist after seeing my kid has told that they will do a DLS on my kid. What i as made to understand was there will be a small pipe type of thing which the doctor will be incerting through the mouth of the baby.
now my question are
1. what are this sypmtons of my kid? what is the problem with the child ?
2.what is the solution?
3 what is this DLS? and is it ok for a 75 days old baby to undergo this test?
4. what are the risk envolved in this test?
5. should i go for this test or not?what if i want to avoid this test for the baby?

I pierced my ears 4 the 1st time 2 weeks ago @ a clinic. They said that after 2 weeks I can change the earings if i wish. So I did yesterday. I cleaned my ears with Dettol & cotton then tried to put on a 18 karat gold earings. but i think the hole closed from the back coz it hurt so i put on the one the clinic gave me (the 1 i was wearing up till now). i forced the earings in and it worked. I felt dizzy and my lips turned blue. I tried not 2 touch the pierce & the earings incase it causes infection but this morning i tried turning they stud clickwise (the doc. told me to turn the stud every few hours 2 prevent it from sticking to the skin). But it didn't turn and it hurt. I tried turning it when i was in the shower but it still hurt. Any suggestions what 2 do?? PLZ HURRY!!!!!!! & plz make sure u no what ur saying coz i don't want 2 ruin my ears or go back 2 th doc.

It has been hoarse for over a month, and my vocal chords are fine.
I can't speak too loud either, and when I'm nervous it gets worse.
Can it have anything to do with the way I breathe?

My relative has been through so much, bowel cancer was operated on, but had spread to liver, he caught c.diff, then they still gave him chemo, which totally wiped him out, he got c.diff again as well as mrsa and wound infections.
He then had duodenal ulcers which ruptured, and severe colitis has resulted in an emergency colostomy.
If he survives the next few hours of intensive care and they can keep internal bleeding from recuring, will the colostomy removal mean he should be able to get over the c.diff etc, so that he can get stronger to fight the liver secondary?
He has been through so much, i wish that he did not have to suffer so much.

I am 44 years old. I also have mild stomach pain, but no pain during bowel movements. I have a an appointment with a specialist, but the appt is two weeks away. I am wondering if I should go to the emergency room? I have taken steps to increase fiber and water consumption. Big question is do I wait for my exam or go to the hospital. Thanks for your help

Polimod is a drug help with the immune system.
I have a relative who lives outside of UK and needs it. Because the ones produced in Switzerland or Italy (or whatever the place near UK is) are the finest and I know people use them in hospitals. So can anyone tell me where to get POLIMOD from?

THNX

(AND BY THE WAY, what drugs are good for lung cancer and bone cancer and i can get them?)
