Hi Von

I believe there are cures for Shingles. Here are some solutions.

Definition
Shingles is a disease caused by an acute viral (varicella-zoster virus) infection of the central nervous system. It affects areas of the skin.

Symptoms
Typically, three to four days before skin outbreaks occur, symptoms of fatigue, fever, chills, and, sometimes, gastrointestinal upset, start to manifest, followed by the affected area of the skin becoming sensitive to touch. Then small, crusty, painful blisters erupt along a nerve path so that the reddened outbreak affects a strip of skin, forming a line. This most commonly occurs over the ribs in the thoracic area and is usually limited to one side of the body. In rare cases, shingles can also affect the lower part of the body or the face. During shingles outbreaks the pain can be severe, but the eruptions usually heal within five days without further complications. In some people, however, especially the elderly, pain can last for months and even years, and be recurring.

Cause
Shingles can be due to chicken pox (in children), pleurisy, Bell`s palsy, herpes simplex, appendicitis, colic, gallstones, colitis, trigeminal neuralgia, or contact dermatitis. All of these conditions must be screened for and, if present, properly treated to provide lasting relief from shingles.

Caution: Shingles eruptions that last longer than two weeks can be a sign of underlying immune problems or cancer (particularly Hodgkin`s disease), and therefore require immediate medical attention. In addition, see an ophthalmologist immediately if herpes zoster occurs near the eyes or on the forehead, as it can cause blindness.

Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: Massage the essential oils of lemon, geranium, bergamot, eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender, or chamomile along the affected area.

Diet: Eat an organic, whole foods diet that emphasizes fresh fruits and vegetables and minimizes carbohydrates (avoiding refined carbohydrates and sugars altogether).

Flower Essences: Crab Apple.

Herbs: Combine equal parts of oat straw, St. John`s wort, and skullcap tinctures and take one teaspoon of this mixture four times a day. Peppermint oil applied topically can also help reduce pain, unless the skin is excessively dry, in which case it is contraindicated.

Homeopathy: Useful homeopathic remedies include Arsen alb., Rhus tox., Sepia, Natrum mur., Hepar sulph., Caladium, and Acidum nit.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment. We suggest several at-home hydrotherapy treatments. Please seek the advice of your alternative health care practitioner before undergoing these procedures to make sure they are appropriate for you.
*Purified water is essential for any hydrotherapy treatment. Remedies for Treating Chlorinated Bath Water offers clear instructions and recommendations.

Juice Therapy: Drink carrot and celery juice with one tablespoon of parsley juice once or twice each day.

Nutritional Supplementation: At the first sign of outbreak, apply zinc oxide along the path of the affected nerve area two to three times daily. Other helpful nutrients include L-lysine, vitamin B-complex, vitamin B12, BHT, calcium, and high doses of vitamin C plus bioflavonoids. Topical application of vitamin E can also be helpful. Snake vaccine made from venom has also been known to take away the pain of shingles.

Topical Treatment: Apply apple cider vinegar to the affected area.

Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating shingles: Acupuncture, Biofeedback Training, Detoxification Therapy, Energy Medicine (Light Beam Generator, Ondamed, TENS), Magnetic Field Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Neural Therapy, Orthomolecular Medicine (Vitamin B12 injections combined with adenosine monophosphate), Oxygen Therapy (Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy, Ozone), and Reflexology. (See Glossary for descriptions of these Alternative Therapies.)

Best of health to you.

Cheers

I had Shingles for the first time a few weeks ago. I am normally in good health and haven't had any other health challenges before, so it came as a surprise.

Shingles is probably the most painful thing I have ever encountered. I went to the doctor, and he gave me some prescription drugs to take that was suposed to help, but didn't.

My wife found the Fast Shingles Cure ebook online and bought it for me, I am very lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life. We followed the book, did what it said, and it delivered what it promised. Finally my Shingles rash is over... I feel truly blessed and thankful.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about 5 yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know lots of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/K7UT0 everything got better.

Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the hsv from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

No cure according to medical science. There is a vaccine just licensed. I think the name is Zostavax. Check it out. It might help stop you from getting shingles again.

SHINGLES IS HERPES GERMS TOO . If u can develop shingles so many times it tells that u r unclean & is infected from the start & did not cure the disease. It is also the left over of the "CHICKEN POX" germs that recurred again. ZOVIREX is the medication for shingles & to take for 7days the course usually.

U r best to go to teh doctors & relate ur history first. Ur doctor can help u get this seen to,it is very important u do.

Shingles (or herpes zoster) is a disease caused by a viral infection of certain spinal nerves. There isn't a permanent cure, but your doctor can treat the disease and discuss preventative measures with you.

There is a new vaccine for Shingles and is recommended for older people (over 50). It will reduce the chance for the recurrence of the virus. Although not 100% eaffective it improves your chances considerably for avoiding the disease. Ask your MD about it.

No. It's a virus. Viruses don't get cured. They can become dormant. They are oppertunistic and usually come out when your immune system is compromised. Not getting enough sleep, stress, being sick....all these can compromise your immune system. There are things that you can take to help you with the symptoms and you doctor can help you with that.
