my wife recently got bit my a fly of some description and now has a saucer sized welt on her leg.the doc said it was "a normal reaction to an insect bite" which i dont agree with.found out from my chemist that they have issued people with anti biotics with this reaction.the wifes is clearing up slowly with anti allergy tabs.are we 1)becoming more sensative to bites
2)being bitten by foreign/cross bred insects?
3)are the flies and insects harming us with pestacides/chemicals etc they have been exposed to.

im no doctor but to me the normal rection to an insect bite is to swear at it and try to swat it!

anybody out there had similar problems?

Am seeing doctors but am being told to wait and see basically. Vision affected sometimes, very tired eyes, itchy, watering sometimes. I have read up on eye conditions associated with hyperthyroid but would like to hear from anyone with first hand experience.

I have excessive hairloss, and no IM NOT ANOREXIC...well, even when I get it trimmed, my hair is thinning, and I lose hair... yes it's been chemically dyed, and used blowdryers, but haven't dyed my hair for a year, and I haven't blowed dried my hair since last week, I used amonia free, and I never bleached my hair...I'm only 17-years old and I have old lady hair...and When a hairdresser trimmed my hair he was like 'omg' when my hair came out of the sink to wash the hair...it's nerve-wracking, and depressing, I cry about this all the time, I also get suicidal thoughts because I feel....ugly.

Alright I have strep throat for the 7th time THIS YEAR in addition to having bronchitis which was probably worse. I am getting sick of going to the doctor (all the workers know me by name). Is there anything I can do to get rid of this without going to the doctor? Thanks.

Do u think it should be illegal 2 smoke in public? well, it spreads 2nd hand smoke and that increases the chance 4 more people to get lung disease or any other lung disorder.

I started discovering I had Folliculitis. But I'm not sure what type of it.But it started like almost 4 weeks ago. When it first came out,There were alot of Red little rash on my pubic area, but none on the inside of my vagina, then a few days later I started itching.I really don't know How I got it, but It might be because of wearing tight clothes (I also have Strech marks on some parts of my body that develope a long time ago) or it might be a certain Product I'm alergic to that I don't know.I Started using "Olay" soap , and I usually use Dove. When I started using it thats when I started seeing these red spots. But Since then I stopped using Olay and I started using Dove again, and this time its been 2 or 1 weeks pass and the "Folliculitis" is redusing, I notice that there are a few left and I'm not Itching anymore.I know my father is Allergic to Chicken, but he isn't allergic to any kind of Soap that I asked him. Do you think I should still continue to use my Anti-bacterial soap until it goes away?what do u think I should do?

I am a 37 year old woman who was just diagnosed with diverticulitis from a "dry" cat scan after having severe lower quadrant abdominal pain. I have read up on the disease over the past couple of days, and have determined that I do not fit the profile- I am under 60 yrs old, eat a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruit, raw vegetables, and whole grains, and I am very regular.

I have had a history of frequent back ache (past year or so)- lower back, along spinal cord, and shoulder/neck area. Occationally I get severe tension headaches from the neck/shoulder pain.

I have no gynocological issues though I have had c-section births.

Any thoughts????

Oh... Also, a few days after the diagnosis, I found out that my refridgerator has not been working properly, my dog was hospitalized with vomitting and diarrea (posible colitis). No one else in my family has been affected.
