You have to get it treated with antibiotics. If strep throat goes untreated, it can become rheumatic feaver and even damage the heart. Antibotics need to be administered within nine days of the onset of the sore throat!
Since you have to go to the doctor anyway to get the antibiotics, ask about why you are so susceptible to strep (could there be an underlying cause? perhaps an immunity problem?) and methods for prevention. I know that one way of preventing strep is to avoid people who have it, but that might not be practical for you in your line of work.
Good luck!

Strep throat is not anything to play with, especially if you have gotten it for the 7th time. It could lead to a few other nasty illnesses which you don't want like rheumatic fever, aplastic anemia, mylodesplasia syndrome and a few others.
I have aplastic anemia and like yourself had a history of strep throat. On more than one occassion, I didn't treat it. My oncologist suspects that my aplastic anemia which is a bone marrow disorder is as a result of not treating the strep. Your bone marrow goes into overload trying to fight the infection and when the strep vanishes, the bone marrow continues to fight ultimately malfunctioning.
It is only his theory but nothing that I would play with. Personally, I would stock up on antibiotics so that you don't have to immediately rush to the doctor. Start taking them at the first sign of the strep.

Have you taken the full course of antibiotics perscribed? If one does not take the course as perscribed the infection will go underground and flare up later.
Strep is a bacterial infection and antibiotics are the way to get rid of the infection. By not taking the full course you also give the bacteria a chance to develop a resistance to the antibiotic and making the infection harder to treat with every flare up.
Be honest with your doctor, and if you have not taken the full course of antibiotics tell him/her. He may have to perscribe a "big gun" antibiotic to get the bug out of your system. The big gun will be very expensive.
If have been taking your meds as prescribed and you're still getting sick, then consider your dietary habits. If your diet is crummy, then your immune system is compromised and you get sick easily.
Check in with your doctor ASAP!

Go back to the doctor for antibiotics. It could be that your body is working up a resistance to the antibiotics. Make sure you take the entire bottle, even when you start to feel better. Also, you need to disinfect your house. You may need to buy new pillows, but definitely wash all bedding, throw out your old toothbrush, and wash everything down with Lysol or some similar product.

I used to work in daycare and I would catch strep all the time from the kids. I would go to the doctor and be given an antibiotic, but the last time I got it, they told me to get my tonsils out. I did and I haven't had it since. It's been three years since I had them out. Granted, having your tonsils out as an adult is no walk in the park, but it's the best thing I've ever done. Now I'm hardley ever sick and I never get sore throats anymore.

Nothing u have to have an antibiotic. If left on treated it can cause heart problems. If your having this many infections your Dr. should advise tonsillectomy. Also try not drinking after others and changing your toothbrush after starting your antibiotics for a few days.

My mom is a nurse she has always told me the only way is to get an anti- biotic. But you could also go to a Christan scientist web site and see what remedies they have since they don't believe in doctors

Nope, only antibiotics.
Oh, and you may want to see about having your tonsils removed. That's way too many times to be getting it.
