Last September I had unprotected sex with a prostitute in Mexico. The next day I had a small sore on my penis and a few days later began to experience pain while urinating. When I got home, concerned about an STD I went to the doctor. I was checked for, excuse my spelling, gohnorhia and I believe Clamidiya and both came up negative. A few days later I didn't have any problems urinating. Then, perhaps in February I developed another sore (just one) on my penis, but it went away quickly leaving some scaring. Now, about a week ago I developed some red bumps on my penis that looked like warts then became sores, but not blisters. They are healing at a moderate pace, and no fluid was discharged. I've been worried about Genital Herpes and am praying that is not what's going on. What do you think?

I was married for 21 years, he always held a job and worked and seemed normal to everyone else, he always says, "Everybody loves me but you." The alcohol just changed his peronality and after living with it for so long, I finally moved out in March. I am lonely and he still has not quit drinking. How do you convince someone they need help when they can't or won't do it on their own?? Do most people think alcoholism is a disease or do most people think it is a choice?

The doctors have reason to believe that my 5 month old son may suffer from a rare syndrom called Severe Cyclic Neutropenia. They have done, and are going to do further bloodwork and genetic testing to be sure. Does anyone know anything about this disorder and where I can find some reputable online sites regarding this? I want to research it as much as possible. Thanks in advance.

My son, now 4, was 3 1/2 when diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called a Wilms Tumor (kidney tumor). While there is money being put toward it's research more needs to be added. Stages 4 and 5 of this type of cancer can be very hard to fight. New drugs need to be developed for these more aggressive cases. Also, the survival rate, if you relapse, is not what it should be. Longterm survival rates, with no relapse, can be very good. I believe that more attention needs to be given to all forms of childhood cancer, not just leukemia.

For the record, my son is nearly 6 months off treatment and so far is doing just fine! His next check up is at the end of July.

Yikes! I cannot believe people think it's ok for a dog to lick you and that their mouth is clean. I read a couple of books on parasites and diseases domestic animals can pass to humans...folks, think twice before you let the doggie give you a big wet one.

in third grade, i was the first to have it, and by the end of the year, over 75 percent had it. it is not a 'disease', persay, it is usually just a non-itching rash and your temperature goes up really high and you just turn all red.

this is a completely random question,
i just started thinking about it. yay? [:
