Highly doubt it...thyroid cancer is VERY rare and nodules are common. My Endocrinologist told me 95% of the population has nodules, most dont even know it!

I would see a doctor who can do tests to determine if the nodules are cancerous or benign. In either case, the nodules should be removed because they usually continue to increase in size.

Do yourself a favor and have a biopsy taken. When a biopsy is done, the trained doctors will test the skin tissue and can accurately determine whether or not you have cancer or not. Guess work and asking on this forum, won't help you.

Go see your doctor and discuss it with him or her. I am sure you will have peace of mind once the test is done.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

Not necessarily, I had the same thing 10 years ago, they did a needle biopsy, but the doctor could not tell, so they did a partial thyroidectomy, and everything was fine, I had a tumor they removed it, and I've been on Levoxyl everyday for the rest of my life........It helps suppress the thyroid.....You need to see a good Ears, nose, throat specialist.....

I'm a physician, you need to see a general surgeon who will likely check some blood work (calcium, thyroid hormones, etc.) and do a fine needle aspiration or nuclear scan - both very easy and practically painless procedures. statistics would say that you most likely do not have cancer, but you'll rest much better once you have a definitive diagnosis
