she is not my child but my little sister we found out that she has diabetes in January it was like someone put a knife in my heart me and my parents cried for a month we did not know we she had to have this but we now deal with it she is fine and she took it much much better then we did.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/XsGc0
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
