My sons school is having a pumpkin patch contest. The thing is you CANNOT carve the pumpkin at all. I am looking for cute ideas that a five year old wont have a problem doing. I googled pumpkin decorating ideas and it showed me a few pics of non carved but it was mainly carved pumkins.

Thanks!

I am currently going to an 8 week pottery workshop at YMCA, and would like to continue the hobby but at a different venue (variety is the spice of life)
Are there any decent pottery classes or workshops in central london or east london, somewhere reasonable priced?
At the moment, I'm paying over £100 for 8 lessons, which isnt too bad, but so far the only other appealing palces are way out in Croydon or outskirts of London.
Any ideas?

I'm 15 and my parent are getting on at me, saying I spend too much time on the computer. So I want to supprise them and start doing something that dosn't invole the computer. I live in the country so going out is really quite difficult beacuse all by frinds live all over the place, also I't bloomin freezing out side at the momment, what with winter and all. So really I need to have something indoor and not too geeky, so any idea, beacuse i'd like to start it soon.

I am currently making a digital scrapbook using the Momento CD from Harvey Norman, which can be printed in-store when finished. It contains pictures of us just together and each page has a new meaning... eg: Our love is like... A sunset. Our love is like... A waterfall. Is this too girly or ... "lame" for my fiance for Xmas? We are 17 and engaged.

I have some children's halloween costume patterns that I would like to make to fit adults. If I, for example, double or triple the pattern size, will that work, or will all the proportions be wrong? I'm a pretty inexperienced sewer, so please dumb the answers down a little!!

I am looking for NFL logos in knit patterns. I have NO drawing talent, but follow instructions very well, so I l am looking for preferable a licensed pattern, but a pattern that someone else has done would be great in there are no licensed patterns.
NCAA logos would be great too.

Note: These are for PRIVATE use. No item made will be sold. This is NOT a money-making project, rather it is a project for making things for myself and a few friends.

My boyfirends 19th b-day is coming up and i have no idea what to get him. The only things i know he would like and that he wants right now are hella exspensive. So lets say i have a 200.00 maximum. Heres what he likes, If you have simillar interest or no someone who does, let me know what kinds of things you like or they like. I would love to surprise him with something he wouldn't expect or maybe even hasn't heard of or would've never even thought he'd like.
*Heavy metal music
*He enjoys singing heavy metal (or screaming if you will) but he doesn't have a band so a pa system is pointless and he doesn't want to play an insturment. He does want to be the lead singer of a band.
* He likes games like "God of War" "Diablo" and "Guild wars" and movies like "300"
*He likes things that are active like skateboarding (he already has one though) or dirt biking, but i can't afford that.
* tattoos, piercings, "goth" clothes
*I don't know what else to say. His biggest passion really is music.

my mom is very much into crafts - especially making discarded items into new things. The problem is i don't have buckets of cash and because this seems to be the new "craze" discarded no longer means affordable. So any ideas? And no i am not going to dig through a garbage can - so need other ideas.

My 10 year old wants a gypsy fortune teller costume, which I will put together without a sewing machine. I'm buying a heavy fabric for the skirt that needs no hemming. I'll wrap it and pin the side securely. The picture here is just an example of what It will look like with a wrap sash. I'll make a belt type corset. I have in my mind how to do this, with maybe a few stitches by hand (i've done it before).

My problem, I can't find a childs peasant shirt at a bargain price, and I can't make one. Any ideas how to make an easy shirt for this, or what to wear instead of buying something new?

I'm making my daughter's Snow White costume - I have braided nylon ribbon to attach to the bodice and waist - how do I do that? Sew it on or hot glue? Also fabric netting to go over satin skirt - how to attach?

See link #1 regarding ribbon. Dress bodice currently has no ribbon trim down middle or neckline - will be adding per question. http://store.costumecity.com/snowwhiteadult.html

Link 2 is what finished skirt will look like. Currently yellow satin layer only. http://www.blushfashions.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=205

Thanks!

I've been trying to find instructions for this origami flower but it's hard not knowing what kind of flower it is. The only thing I noticed was that it looked more like different sizes of the same origami pattern stacked into each other to create the flower. Help please?

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask how to tame my little ponies' hair. I have 4 ponies with wild unruly hair that wont go smooth! Two of them have those glitter strands that got all crinkled up. I was gonna just pull them out but I don't want to ruin the pony. I've seen ppl 'restore' the ponies and even curl them into long cascading curls! Thank you in advance for any help. I appreciate it

I went to an art store yesterday and purchased some black scratch paper because i want to make a black and white poster. But when i asked the workers what to use when scratching the black paper, they didn t know? I usually use a push pin, but i find that it scratches off the white part, leaving lines. I have seen other peoples scratch work and the white is smooth with no scratch marks. How do they do it so smoothly? Is there a special sharp device that they use? What would you reccomend to use for scratching .I need to shade off large portions and small portions as well. Please help?
