....the size of a hand (or smaller like the size of a pinkie),it is not exactly for dolls, well my friend's birthday is coming up (actually two of my friends) and I want to make something special for them (DIY).I have already came up with making a very nice boutique for them, like papier mache mannequins and cute things like that. The only problem is that I don't know how to make the clothes,if I have time and enough good ideas I might even make two dolls for one of them as well.I want it to be very nice, since both of them are turning 13.Shall I make the clothes out of paper?I think that won't be strong enough, since it might rip easily,so what shall I do for the clothes? It would be appreciated if you share some of your good ideas with me,thank you very much!!!♥

I've read some of the answers from a year ago.
Supposedly, I think I'm to take the ruff edge near the blade, turn it counter-clock wise, and it should release the blade?

I'm not sure if my X-Acto knife is defective, but it just won't turn.
Is there a way to loosen it somehow?
The more strength I put into turning, the more I'm afraid I'll lose my grip and slit my hands on the blade. xp
I've heard so many X-Acto knife horror stories.
I want to find a safe way of trying to get the blade out.

I have a pair of black Audrey pants I got at the Gap this spring. I'd like to lengthen them for fall and winter. There is a generous hem allowance, so I have just enough fabric to take them from capri pant to ciggarette pant. However, the part where the old hem was folded has faded to grey. They've never been pressed, but they have been washed at least 10 times. If I used some Rit dye, so you think it would even out the color or just make the pants beautifully black and the hem line a darker grey?

I'm pretty strapped, so I don's want to spend the money on the dye if it's not going to work.

The pants are 99% cotton, 1% lycra (my new favorite blend). The weight is a cotton duck, almost as heavy as a denim. The location of the current hem falls at the thickest part of my leg, so if I can't lengthen them, I guess I'll shorten them for next spring. I really want to not have any noticable line on the pants. Perhaps I'm asking too much of some fabric dye?

I keep reading instructions for spiraling and it says something like: work 10 single crochets in the ring (this much I get) and then for the next round it says work 2 single crochets in each of the first nine stitches. etc. And the other pattern I'm looking at says for round 1 increase every st (16 sc) round 2: inc every other st (24 sc). Can someone explain these in really really easy terms? I'm just not getting it.

I found this 2007p Washington dollar and was wondering if it is a mint error? I found a site that referred to this coin as a starburst like ray effect error. They called it a "Lamination Error". Is it a mint error? does it have any value.

I need to raise $600 to help my mom pay a bill, so I decided to have a craft sale in my driveway.

I need ideas of what to make that is halloween/christmas/kids related. Maybe even 70's/hippie items. I'm buying my materials at the thrift store, so anything that's small and cheap to make would be perfect!

I was hoping to read reviews of the machine, but the particular model number they're selling isn't anywhere online, not even on the manufacturer's website! I know that companies sometimes manufacture Costco-exclusive items that aren't sold anywhere else, but I also know that these items are sometimes subpar (not as high quality as their regular products).
For these reasons, should I be hesitant to buy a sewing machine at Costco?
Thanks so much for your help!

ok - so i need a crafty, fun idea - we're doing a 1 year old birthday party picnic - and i need to find a way to keep the table cloths on the tables - outside. i don't do tacky - not into just setting rocks on the tables - and i do't have time ot paint rocks - any other ideas - was thinking about putting clothespins on the ends, but not sure if that will be heavy enough -

i can't find any weights to buy that match our theme -

thanks for your help
