I want to buy 18th century looking stationery because I'm going to start using wax letter seals and quill pens for correspondence. Does anyone know of any websites that I can buy the stationery from? A plain antique looking style would be best. Thanks!

Unfortunately. he overdid it with the wood glue, and now there are big ,hard, ugly lumps of glue everywhere. My grandaughter wants to decorate the dolls house, but is very disheartened and feels that it will look scruffy. I have tried digging it off with a scraper but there is just too much, it will take forever. I have also tried softening it with a heat gun but with the same result. I have been searching the d.i.y. shops for something that may help dissolve the glue, but to no avail. Can anyone help? If not ,it means scrapping the dolls house and buying a new one ,which will cause untold damage to my husbands ego!

Does anyone know of a toystore or toy manufacturer that sells such a thing? It cannot be made of glass, has to be very highly polished stainless steel or some other metal that cannot break but reflects a face as well as a glass mirror does.

Any ideas?

I want to learn to make it just like they did in the old days without the chemical lye they use today. And eventualy with natural fragrances and addatives.
Please don't include recipes made with sodium hydroxide and blah as I'll probably give you a thumbs down for not reading my question properly! :P

I've recently broken up with a boyfriend, I've also recently moved into a new flat with little to do entertainment wise, generally speaking my life isn't perfect right now so I'm feeling restless and wanting to get up and do something not just out of boredom but out of a need to find something I can really get into.

I'd love to take up some sort of course but simply cannot afford it right now, I'm thinking about maybe dance lessons for a start, I'd also like something that does not cost money such as volunteering somewhere...

...thing is I don't know where to look for volunteering or where to look to find anything I could really get into or do, I'd also like some other options as nothing has really grabbed my attention as yet.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do with my spare time, to get me out of my flat? Does anyone have any tips on how to find or go about starting up anything new?

Firing metal clay requires a kiln to be fired up to 1600 degrees F (871 degrees C) in order for the clay to turn into metal. I wonder can I use the oven that I used to bake cake to do the firing job...
