What are some cool things to make using origami ?

I really love making origami flowers...just about any kind. My favorite is probably the kawasaki rose which is pretty hard. There is a website which helps with the diagram it's not in english but I did it just by looking at the pictures.

It's best to start with simpler designs...Origami is like playing an instrument...if you start off too "ambitious" you'll likely get frustrated and possibly lose interest. Boxes, balloons and some animals are great to start with and will teach you basic folds used in more complex designs. Many complex designs will start off assuming that you know certain folds already...like a "squash" fold or how to fold a "bird base"...so it's a good idea to start with simpler designs and work your way up...

I worked with a guy that was so good at origami. He made whales, seals, a box inside a box...inside a smaller box...until you had a box that was inside that was only about a quarter of an inch, frogs, swans, fish, you name it he made it.
Takes alot of practice. He had been doing them since he was a child.
