I recently bought a lot of extracts from newspapers on Weather Report (dates raging from 1969 - 83). I am planning to frame them on a clip board (the front of which being perspex plastic). Is there anything I can do to stop the ink fading, or the clippings bleaching over time? Any ideas?

Many thanks

Underneath there is all sorts of extra thread and it pulls out (if you pull on it) (which is not supposed to happen) (which is bad). It is a really old Singer, but it still works just fine- besides what's going on right now. Yah, it just uses WAY too much thread and bunches underneath (not the fabric). As I said, it's all threaded correctly. It might have something to do with the tension, but I don't know. Thanks for the help!

I need ideas/links/websites for do it yourself gift bags / christmas bags. My husband and I are traveling over the holidays and we can't wrap the gifts because of airline security and we don't want to spend much time wrapping when we get there (would rather spend that time with family) I need some help to help learning to decorate the bags. Thanks so much....

I've got got some old formica covered cardboard "putz" houses. I'd love to make some reproduction ones to go with them. Does anyone have a good source for a pattern or would be willing to share instructions?
Thanks!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We have built a Home-made raft I intend on racing against another team. Currently our design is made up of barrells and held together with wood braces you can see a pic at Http://www.flickr.com/photos/dantrons . We are unsure if we should make a cone like structure at the front to 'cut' the water (reducing drag) when we power through. Do you think this will make a difference? Or will be not be travelling fast enough to make any real gains by adding a cone piece on the front to cut the water? Thanks for your time, and hopefully your answer! Dan.
