the plaque has to be red alder and pine and red oak are easiest for me to get to make the bookcase. I'm looking for any suggestions. Pine is much cheaper but i dont know if it will look as good. I'm not sure whether i want to stain it and with what but i would like the red alder plaque to look good with whatever wood i use whether it needs staining or not. It will be like a centerpiece of the bookcase.

I am trying to make some of those "therapeutic warming rice things" that people warm in the micro and put on thier eyes or forhead. Any ideas on good things to fill them with too would be nice. I'm thinking flax seeds and some lavender might work well.

I have an AMT/ERTL Bigfoot 4x4 model kit, 1:25 scale, still in original box, not put together, though the box has been opened, dated 1984.
I've tried to browse on e-bay, but have not found a similar kit; and I don't want to post it on there.
I just want to find out how much this could be worth.

Well after slipping twice and breaking the bridge, I'd like to put out the question to the community. This bridge has been seated before, however, I've taken all the strings off and now want to put everything back. Don't leave out even simple things; I'm relatively inexperienced ~_~

I begin and some how, I end up with much more stiches on my needle than I started with. A friend suggested that I am splitting the yarn some how, but that isn't the case-and accidentally wouldn't have doubled the amount of stiches that I have in the rows. I am baffled that somehow I managed to do this, any ideas of what is happening??
