Hi, I just wanted to clarify if PVA Glue is commonly known as Fevicol in India?? And yes i have been watching Art Attack :)

Yes Fevicol is a PVA glue.(Polyvinyl Acetate)
Fevicol type adhesives are synthetic resins and latex adhesives made from PVA

I was a searching the answer to this question when i first came to India 2 yrs ago.
It is available, except here its called Fevicol. People will look at u funny if u ask for PVA glue!

Fevicol is not only a pva glue.Pva glue is actually made from pva granules(powder) and forms a transparent tacky glue with limited applications and is unsuitable for hardcore applications.Fevicol is a combination of Vinyl Acetate Monomer (V.A.M), pva solution,fillers,plasticizers,versatile acids which increase bond strength,fragrance chemicals,preservatives which make it more preffered and versatile over PVA glues for hardcore applications like wood to wood, plywood to laminates (formica,sunmika,veneers),wood to metal and many more such applications which require higher bond strength.
