I found an old glass bottle /jug. It is clear glass and stands about 2 ft. high. It is apx. 18 inches acros at it's widest point. The mouth has an opening of 2 inches. It will hold 10 gallons or more.It must have had a cork closure because there are no grooves or ridges for a screw on top. It has these words on front (embossed) "PYREX REG U S PAT OFF MADE IN USA".
Any help on dating this or direction to any website that may be helpful would be appreciated. (Sorry I didn't know what category this should go in)

I want to use a strong sealant for my coffee tables. I painted, then decoupaged color copies onto them. When I used a lacquer sealant, some of the colors from the copies ran. Any ideas?

I'm using cotton for the top, flannel for the backing, but I am not sure what is best for inside: cotton batting, or just another layer of flannel? This is for a FLOOR blanket. Thanks

I looked at the Snuggles Project/Hugs For The Homeless directory for my part of Colorado and nowhere close to me takes blankets. Does anyone know of any animal shelters (that might want knitted blankets) close to Longmont or Boulder that aren't listed? Thanks in advance!

I actually want to paint a bisque wash basin. They have matching toilets as well, but I could never find a kiln that big! I want to make a few tiles as well. Someone gave me a site but it only told the history, sold there own tiles & had no crafting tips. So many sites selling. My question is what brand name& type of glaze or underglaze & sealer am I looking for? Not that paint or tile that I can't fire. It has to be waterproof & functionable. Is there a site that has step & where I can order such paint. What kind of bisque or pottery am I looking for? I am very artistic and I know I can do this, I just need the basics and the right supplies. If someone knows or has done any of this craft please advise me. There are no classes to take anywhere near my home.
Here is an example of what I want to do.
