Or have to go to far. I even welcome ideas to do around the house. The garden is done, the housework done. What can I do for fun? Its really really hot outside.

I saw a pattern for this about 30 years ago and bought the pinwheel gadget but now that I am finally determined to give it a go at making one, I find that my husband has thrown out all the magazines I had stored (including the one that had this pattern in it).

This type of quilt is made using the gadget to make a kizillion little pinwheels which then get sewn or crocheted (I don't remember) together. Can anyone help please?

I think I like tarts better than candles for their scents and I wanted to try and make my own because they are getting expensive to buy.

I'm in the Chicago area and I am trying to find Candlewicking supplies... Simple, 100% cotton natural muslin fabric and 100% cotton natural candlewicking thread..
I looked online at some of the major craft/fabric stores in the area but there is nothing on line. I went to one of the stores the other day and the girl took me to the candle isle.
Does anyone know where I can find the right thread and maybe even if it's available in different colors...

I'm looking for craft hook snaps also called lanyard that come with a swivel. There is a distrubitor that goes by UMX, UMEI, and several other names that come up on internet searches but they do not have any in stock right now. I've bought them from Bolek Craft before, but they are stiff and hard to use. I'm looking for a hook that is bigger than 1", and is not so stiff it is hard to use. I want to buy about 100, but I can't find anyone else who sells these?

I like big projects...the more colours and the more fractional stitches the better. I also like backstitching. I know I'm amongst the minority. lol I am having a hard time finding online sources that get into such details about the stitching skill level of what they are selling. I don't want to order one, then get it and be disappointed because it's all full stitches or something.

My favourite is the good old scythe. Or even a hand scythe (sickle)I love the shape of it and other than cutting your field with one, you can slice up pesky intruders!

In recent weeks I have started a bit of a nose collection. It was harmless at first as I filled my walls with magazine cut-outs of celebrity schnozes, but now I feel the urge to expand my nasal exhibit to three-dimensional honkers. I have a pig snout in a glass box. I am wondering if anyone can inform the wherabouts of other noses. I want to have a large enough collection, as to share it with the world.
