We often buy fresh pineapples and cut them into chunks but how do you store them? We tried storing them in plastic containers but they would turn brown in a day or so. Then we tried storing them in salt water and plain water but the sweetness of the pineapples faded and became bland. Some websites say to store the cut pineapple in it's own juice but how do you juice a pineapple enough to cover all the fruit in the container?

It's so gooey. I need a nice little tight package that will stay clean. I need to send it to Japan from Canada.

Should I wrap it up in some plastic before I stick it in the package?

Will the plastic break if it shifts around too much?

For the past few months I've eliminated sucrose completely. Actually I have eliminated all sweet food from my diet including fruit juice, but excluding fresh fruit.

I want to learn how to cook desserts but what sweeteners are safe to use in place of table sugar? Dextrose? Stevia?

why is it so darn spicy?? It smelled so good cooking, and I took a big ol bite of it and WOW it's spicy. I don't like spicy things and my palate is sensitive to hot. Is all Zatarain's rice spicy like that or just the dirty rice?

What candy from your youth brings back fond memories! Maybe give the period and location too?

For me, a Cherry Mash (cherry nougat covered with peanutty choclate) at the town grocer in Burns Wyoming, 1970. Got to buy it myself (alone) with earned money from growing/selling carrots.

We usually just throw out strawberries that have fungus on them, but I just bought this box and was going to eat them when I saw a few small green spots. Can I just wash them off and eat them?

I've noticed over the last few years that when I buy a sack of onions, some of them have spots of what almost looks like a moldy powder. Could this actually be mold on the onions? I haven't gotten sick and of course I do remove the onion skins. Just wondering if this is anything to be concerned about or if it's normal?
