I read the article on Yahoo yesterday about how it's so bad for you especially the sodium content. Also why is brown rice any better for you than just plain steamed white rice?? My fav dish is Chicken and Stringbeans which is chicken stir fried and green beans and 90% of any of the liquid drips off anyway how bad can that be?

If you have visited the uk and your experience was a pub chain or a dodgy fish and chip shop then you deserve to have had a bad meal.

As with every restaurant over the world, you get what you pay for.

A friend from Australia sent me a small jar of vegemite last spring to try. I told some of my friends about it, and now they'd like to try it. I can't find an expiration date on the jar, but I'm a little worried to eat it. Does anyone know if vegemite goes bad?

I'm looking for a certain spice that is apparently sold in Peru. I'm not sure if you can find it in the US or not.

I tried this rice at a girlfriends house about 8 years ago. She was Peruvian, and was living in Canada at the time.

She made rice, added this spice to it, which made it yellow, and fried an egg in olive oil, and put it on top of the heaping pile of rice on a plate. It was absolutely wonderful. It was what she considered it a paupers meal, or poor persons meal in Peru, as it doesn't cost much to buy rice, a few eggs, and this spice.

Anyone happen to know this spice?
Anyone know where to get it?
Anyone know the full recipe?

Thanks in advance!

For instance, African-Americans have soul food and Caribbean Americans have Caribbean food. Latinos have their different types of Latin food (this food tends to vary depending on the individual's country). Asian people have their own type of food, and White immigrants from European countries like Germany for instance, have German cuisine. So what do White Americans eat?

I am not trying to sound racist or anything... but from observation, I have noticed that White Americans tend to favor organic food and macaroni & cheese? Ha-ha.
