Yes it smells like stinky feet but tastes so good.

Mix it with some thai peppers and sugar. Should be dipped with something sour like green apple or green mango.

So addictive. Making my mouth water!!

Yes, it's lovely. Also Sardine and tomato is another fishy paste, then there is Crab paste, lovely.... but they must be Shippams or Princes as Tesco's own is very 'watery'. All these fish pastes go well with Cream Crackers or any similar type of dry biscuit. Enjoy.........

The Malay version (Belacan) is really pungent, I have never tasted it by itself but it is POTENT. The smell is just so overwhelming, it's an extremely strong rancid fishy smell. But when added to Malay dishes, it blends in very well. You really cant taste nor smell it.

And I love Malay food.

yeah , u talking about that purple looking paste?

i've been told that in it's normal form, you need to add sugar to make it more palatable.
