Food is an individual choice, yes I like a Balti or Bhuna but could not eat it all the time, same as Chinese. Mexican is good for a one off meal, Steak is yummy but very filling and naughty, Italian is great, but all that pasta and butter. Spanish now thats nice. Morroccan is hot and spicey beautiful. Most American food is filling but bland. Sushi is for the fishes . But give Me a plate of Bubble and Squeak or Toad in the Hole with Mash and Onion Gravy and I am in Heaven, especially if follwed by a good desert like spotted dick, Jam or Treacle Roly Poly or a steam pud all with lashings of Custard.

Well you can get food from all over the world right here in England. I Love Indian...just down the road. Often have Chines....over the road. Pizza ...Most High Streets. We even have a Vietnames which is great. Thi local is wonderful, then we have our own Fish and Chips, and not forgetting our wonderful Roast Beef & all the trimmings. I think I`ll settle for good old Great Britain.

Oh my God! I could not choose. Unlike Shada I have had meals in Italy that disappointed, but not many! The only country in which I have never been disappointed by a meal (or the wine chosen to be enjoyed with is) is Switzerland.

I think the tastiest is Indian because of the use of ghee in cooking and because the spices are always fresh and because they make the most unexpectedly delicious snacks .... and then follow meals with nice desserts like pistachio ice cream and spicy tea .... and they have all sorts of odd things no one else does, like sweet paan, and crunchy mixes of things and snacks with a chutney like no where else ...

Favorite meal ....Chicken Tikka Malai with a warm crunchy paratha and a drink called "Mango Madness" ..... followed by a Kalakand (a sweet) and some spicy chai ...
trouble being: I cannot manage all the spices all the time .... but they do make me swoon!

Peace & Love

Italy has the best food.
Although Taiwan is close for second.
China has yucky food, the Chinese food is much better in Hong Kong or Taipei! Also, many Thai restaurants in the US beat out actual Thailand for taste.
English food...what is with their bread in the little letter holders, anyway...and BROILED tomatos for breakfast is truly nasty.
France has truly amazing pastries...theeeee best....
Germany...too much pork.
Yes, I think Italy is a good first choice, but how do they eat so much and remain thin? Plus, gelato sold EVerywhere....

I love food from around the world: African (Ethiopean, Moroccan, Algerian, Egyptian), Middle Eastern (Persian, Afghani, Lebanese, Israeli), Mediterranian (Greek, Turkish, Italian), Asian (Chinese [Hunan, Sichuan, Shanghainese, Cantonese, Beijing, Hebei], Indian, Burmese, Malay, Indonesian, Philippino), South American (Columbian, Brazilian, Argentinian, Chilean), and European (French, German, Spanish, Baltic, Hungarian).

It's all good. Each region uses different spices and cooking methods to create tasty meals. Being open to what other cultures and cuisines have to offer might even make you appreciate roasted duck head (delicious!) and fish bellies. Yum!

The USA has the tastiest foods, and more of the world's ethnic foods are available here than anywhere else I've been. I like barbecued steak/pork/chicken/fish, a spinach salad, potato salad, fresh steamed peas, corn on the cob, and a piece of blueberry cobbler with cold milk! WOW!

Dusun (upriver jungle Borneo) where sometimes the bones left over look a bit like human skulls. Or Iban, bbq monkey in the longhouse. Much better than snake, dog or (ugh!) pig found in less uncivilised countries.
