This is the first time we are having the entire family over for Thanksgiving. I'm can cook a turkey, mashed potatoes, all the normal stuff and I know what I'm making for dinner, but does anyone have any good ideas for desserts or maybe other simple side dishes? We're thinking of making a few different items for side dishes, a few different desserts, and just having alot of options so that there is plenty to choose from incase someone doesn't like something they have other options to choose from. Any ideas?

Also, any ideas for an easy home-made table centerpiece?

I want to do something a bit different, not fancy dress, but something that is easy for people to do and I want to tie in some entertainment (and decoration) along the same lines as the theme, also ideas for "finger buffet" style food would be helpful. Many thanks.

I am having an "Art" party this weekend for a few close friends and co workers. I have a wide range of art supllies. And was wondering if anyone here might have some art inspired ideas. For food, beverages and how to make it a fun atmosphere. Its going to be very casual. So the goofier or wilder the better.

My best girlfriend is turning 18, i need some good ideas for a party. About 10 of us will be there, ranging in age from 17-21. None of us go "clubbing" or drink very much. I'm thinking pizza and catch phrase, but are there any other ideas to "spice it up"?

My 21st birthday is coming up next month. What would be some good ways to celebrate it? Also, I'm trying to figure out how to decorate my cake. I was thinking of a square choclate cake with chocolate icing. Taking 4 real red roses, cutting the stem down to about an inch or so, and sticking one on each corner. Then on one side having a martini glass on it, and the other side saying " happy 21st" What do you think?

What is the difference in dinner wine and just drinking wine? How do I know the difference. Obviously I know nothing about wine, but I am curious. I know I like white wine better than red, but I would like a sweet wine I can just drink whenever, rather than wine that goes better with food.

Thanks for all your help.
