My friends are having their birthdays together next week. They are 14 year old girls. What type of cake could they make (not chocolate or vanilla)? What should they do? There is snow in the area but not much and it is melting right now. I just need ideas to help them.

My Amira is turning one. I'm throwing a small party, maybe 20 people or so, and I'd like some ideas of inexpensive, kid friendly foods to cater. Maybe even some recipes.

Cannot host the party at our place (we are in a small apartment while our house is being remodeled). I am looking to host 4-6 girls, totally traditional but not stuffy tea party/birthday party. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks!

I'm interested in throwing my son's first birthday there. Most of my friends have babies, ranging from five months to 18 months. I'll also have about five kids that range in age from three to six. Any ideas?

I am having a potluck at my house tomorrow--a few of the 'gals' are coming over. Four of us are eating healthy (read dieting) and I would like to make something healthier for lunch. Any ideas? Someone is already bringing a veggie tray.

For my birthday this year we are planning a party with all our friends. We have a lot of dinner parties and I wanted to try something differnet. What do you think of a "breakfast" dinner party? I was thinking pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. Any ideas? What do you think? There will be lots of drinking.

My in-laws are coming next weekend and I am cooking dinner for both my parents and my husband's parents. I want something tasty and original, but not overly formal. My husband does not like pasta overly much, or "sweet meat" (i.e. lemon chicken, orange glazed ham, etc). Any suggestions - either for a main course, a side dish, a dessert, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We've got friends coming round and I would like to make a nice easy dessert or cake for after dinner. Can't be anything to do with chocolate though as one of them is allergic to it (poor thing). (There will be four adults and 2 kids!)

hi, I need ideas for a pot luck. The teachers are grouped and it's now my groups turn to come up with a theme and then the food to go along with the theme. They already have done tacos, desserts, sundays, baked potato, salads, soups, and pasta. Thanks for any help.

For invitations, I will be sending out personilized masks/top hats. I will also have "party favors" such as Mardi Gras beads, tamborines and glow necklaces. I am also on a tight budget so ideas for inexpensive food/refreshments would also be appreciated.

Having some friends over on Oscar night and am trying to come up with something I can make for around 15 people. It doesn't have to be too fancy just something I can pull off without much stress and inexpensive. Last time I had people over we did a burrito making buffet. Don't want to do that again. So what are some other ideas?

What should I make for our first homecook meal at my place? He said he would try anything once. I really don't like that many kinds of meats. I don't eat pork at all.
