I've always been kinda shy, but is it ok if I dont party/drink? I've never been drunk, but the idea just doesn't sound appealing to me. Is there something wrong with me? Am I boring? I feel like I'm the only one not drinking/partying.

A few years ago I was in Iowa for a political event & I found a place called the Amana colonies. They had the most WONDERFUL wines. Dandelion. Rhubarb. etc. Unfortunatley, I was flying & I could not bring back alot of the bottles. Iowa law prevents them from shipping the wine except for a few neighboring states. Does anybody know either how I can get them legally shipped to Houston, TX (i.e. mail forwarding from one of the legal states?) or if there is another way to get some of those wonderful Amana wines. Ackerman was the winery I bought from but I know all of the Amana style wines are wonderful. One day I do plan to drive there if I don't have a choice but perhaps there is another option? Please advise.

Hi

I made wine from crushed grapes Zinfendel, its 2+ years old with an air lock. Would have thought it impossible to get mold but there it was and I personally can taste it.

5 gallons is 30liters which is a lot to waste, but dont want to get sick

My brother is moving into a new apartment and was asking me about what are "staples" for a stocked bar. Enough to make most drinks, but not necessarily everything under the sun. I don't really drink, so help me out with this one.

I heard a proffessor talking about making whiskey pure at home by, if I recall, putting a potato or corn cob in a bag with sugar and submerging it for a week or two, then removing the vegetable and submerging again the rot and sugar mixture for a couple weeks. If done incorrectly or not properly mixed afterwards, it could be fatal, which is why I'd like to know for sure what the steps are if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm not looking to make a distillery, I just want to know if it can be done so simply. I have heard prisoners do the aformentioned and put the bag deep inside the toilet bowl, but the next family reunion is some time away and I would like to hear from someone else who has done this before.
Much obliged.

I am going on a freaking 14 hour air-plane trip, and from my experiences, that will be hell of time to spend. So I am planning to get some alcohol and try to sleep off the whole trip. But then I am 17 and if I ask the stewwart(spellingX), do they check for your license? Or do they just look at you and judge it themselves? I look pretty mature in my opinion, but I bet my L license wouldn't work. Do they serve alcohol?

A friend recently gave me a bottle of vanilla vodka...I really don't like the taste of vanilla, though I love vodka. Can someone recommend a drink that would use the vodka without having the overly sweet taste of vanilla?

Our relationship is so up & down. Last night he took me to a hotel for the night to spend some time and talk. He drank total about 6 beers, 2 7&7's and 2 manhatans. He brought all this stuff in a cooler but had the manhatans at the restaurant. He doesn't think he has a drinking problem. He does cuz he has to drink every day and I am tired of seeing this. How do I get him to realize his problem?

After a night of partying, my friend will always make herself throw up to get rid of the alcohol left in her stomach (she's not bulimic though). I heard throwing up only makes you drunker. Is it okay to throw up to get rid of the alcohol?

Is it rude to swirl and sniff for the nose of your wine at a fancy restaurant? Furthermore what type of Sherry would you order directly before or directly after dinner? Is it correct to order sweet Sherry after?

I was given a bottle of Krug and a bottle of Dom Perignon as a wedding gift in May 2006. They are both unopened and sit on my shelf. I want to find out how long they will last before going bad as i don't want to miss out on drinking them but at the same time want to save them for a special occasion! They are both non vintage so i think they will last a shorter time than vintage bottles. Can anyone help?
