My favorite wine is anything from Chautauqua Winery in Defuniak Springs Florida. They have a marvelous Noble Red and a few whites that I love. If you like Port they have a wonderful Chocolate Port. I have included a link to the winery. Don't let the cheap price per bottle fool, the wine is wonderful.
The old adage used to be Reds with Beef, white with chicken or fish. The rule of today is if you like it serve it.
I also have a weakness for Gewurztraminer.
Gewurztraminer: light- to medium-bodied, soft yet spicy, semi-dry.
Here is an example of food pairings for this delectable wine.
Dips
Mild Cheese
Asian Food
Beef/BBQ
Pork/Veal
Poultry
Salmon/Tuna
Anyway, the most important if it you like it's good. Have fun.

the meal was a nice big fat piece of prime rib cooked to perfection with potato gratin and either broccoli or asparagus, and the wine was a 1984 Georges De Latour Cabernet Sauvignon from the napa valley. Like heaven in my mouth.

Aged Filet Mignon paired with a 2000 Fulkerson Cabernet Franc, a lovely winery in the Finger lakes of NY. Unfortunately it is extremely hard to find outside of NY.
Honig Cabernet Sauvignon is another of my favorites but I can't remember what I ate with it.
