A few of my friends are paramedics so it is easy to get them to give me an IV. After the bag is done my hangover is gone.
Also, stay away from the NSAIDs ([non-steroid anti-inflamitory drugs]ie. Tylenol, Advil, Aleeve, etc.) because they can also damage your liver. Adding these things, on top of alcohol, can increase your chances of developing sirosis and other liver problems. Just because it is over-the-counter, doesn't mean they are side-effect free.
OK a.car, Tylenol isn't an NSAID, but I am still right that Analgesics and NSAIDs both can cause liver problems. Don't believe me? Take a look at http://www.medicinenet.com/nonsteroidal_antiinflammatory_drugs/article.htm , and http://www.medicinenet.com/acetaminophen/article.htm
So if you drink alot do not take any pain relievers as they can add to the long list of problems to the liver.

As the previous people said was semi-correct that there really isnt any way to "fix" a hangover. There is a way to decrease the effect of the hangover or to drop intensity. In order to fix a hangover you need to understand why you get one in the first place. Your body oxidizes alcohol into formic acid and in very small parts....formaldehyde by an enzyme called alcohol dehydrogenase. These chemicals are toxic...so essentialy you have abnormal concentrations of toxins in your body....which help bring on a hangover the day after when you have metabolized all the ethanol. Secondly when you drink alcohol you will notice that you have to urinate often this is because ethanol effects the cerebellum which controls the release of several important hormones one of them being ADH(anti-dieuretic hormone) which tells your kidneys to eliminate water and reuptake salts or vice versa. This causes dehydration and drops in your cerebrospinal fluid (a headache will then follow).
So since you are loosing water that you need and slowly poisoning yourself you will feel like crap regardless if you booze heavy. If you want to increase the pace that the hangover leaves you.....then drink plenty of water and eat salty food to replenish your electrolyte imbalance. Water always follows salt so if you eat pretzels for instance and drink a lot of water you will retain the water and rehydrate quicker. This is the reason you are told to eat something it keeps salt and electrolytes in your body. If you have a headache taking tylenol wont hurt you (TYLENOL IS NOT A NSAID"NON STEROID ANTI INFLAMMATORY" ASPIRIN AND SUCH ARE THIS IS A COMMON MISCONCEPTION) however drinking extra water would help and the tylenol will also help keep the fluids within you.
Hope this helps!!
If you want to help prevent or decrease the intensity of a hangover......eat salty foods, take a multi vitamin and drink plenty of water before going to bed it should help. If you wanna be able to survive a long night of drinking eat fatty foods. When fat enters your digestive system a chemical called CCK(choleocystokinin) is released which slows the rate of stomach emptying thus decreasing the rate that your body absorbs the alcohol so you won't get drunk as fast....but the foods have to be fatty like lunch meat and cheese. Now make a best answer finally.

I've heard that taking several vitamin c before drinking will
keep a hangover away. But always have a full breakfast or
brunch when you get up the next day, to help you get back on
track with some protein and carbs to pick you back up. Also
a glass of fresh orange juice wouldn't hurt either to give you
some quick energy. Then just take it easy for the rest of the
day, since your body's gone thru enough punishment already.

I don't believe there really is a way to "fix" a hangover. I think the only cure is time. You can drink as much water and gatorade or powerade as you like and eat food and take aspirin but I don't believe it will do much good. I think sleep helps the most. Usually the longer I sleep the less of a hangover I have.

Drinks lots of water.
I usually take 2 aspirins when I get up in the morning, eat a good meal and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Hangover's are cause by dehydration, so water is crucial.

The best way is to prevent it all together. Just make sure you drink LOTS of water before you go to bed. The headache you feel is from all the sugars your body has to process and dehydration. Drink some watered down gatorade and sleep as long as possible. Though illegal, a little herb can help if there is an upset stomach involved.

Before you go to bed... 2 advil liqui-gels and 2 pepto bismal tablets with a big glass of water. Same thing when you wake up, then a 1/2 glass of whatever you were getting drunk on the night before. Then food. Works everytime!
