I am going on a freaking 14 hour air-plane trip, and from my experiences, that will be hell of time to spend. So I am planning to get some alcohol and try to sleep off the whole trip. But then I am 17 and if I ask the stewwart(spellingX), do they check for your license? Or do they just look at you and judge it themselves? I look pretty mature in my opinion, but I bet my L license wouldn't work. Do they serve alcohol?

Ok, no sarcasm or anything. The only reason i want alcohol is so that I can fall asleep. And I am not talking about getting drunk and having a party here.
Just enough to make my eyes closed.

Yes some airlines serve alcohol, and depending on the cart lady or man they may just server it to you. But they have the right to ask you for an ID and refuse giving you alcohol considering its illegal for minors. Just try asking for some and if they ask for an ID say im sorry but its out of reach and if they still refuse say alright just get me a soda. (something to the tune of that)

i got carded on a plane trip the year I turned 21 when I was taking a red eye flight for the holidays. :( legally they are allowed to check your ID if they think that you are underage. I am now 32 and was carded last week by someone on a flight from San Francisco to Indianapolis.

If your flight departs from the United States, you must be 21 to drink liquor. Its also up to the airline policy. I was not carded on my flight from Honolulu Hawaii to LAX. However I found out later they have a seating chart with your name and age up front. However I was in first class, it might be different for coach.

Having 3 Mai-Tais before take off , then waking up in LAX was really nice.

However if you dont ask, you wont get.

Im from Michigan and live currently in Hawaii (Army) so I make alot of looooong flights. Usually its not that bad, your not going to sleep for 14 hours anyways, just bring stuff to do. There should be in flight entertainment (depending on the airline).

Yes they do charge for alcohol, yes its expensive, yes they will check for your id.

do you ever watch the show on A&E I believe called airport or something? Man...if you are caught acting funny or staggering or they even smell it on you before boarding the plane they watch your butt and also have the right to kick you off. Just be really careful cuz it could also backfire on you and you could get real sick from nerves and stuff. Try taking tylenol's simply sleep pills. They really work well for me.

U will be carded....If you are underage, it will say on your ticket and they have a seating list with a mark on it showing you are underage...sorry, you will have to wait until you really grow up! Talk to your doc about a sleeping pill for the trip!

Well, they did ID me, and I was 21...
too expensive! The next flight I took included a few shots of vodka in a water bottle...

When flying to Mexico all I waited for was the announcement that we where out of the US and started asking for beer. But I was 18 and that's the age there. I looked alot older but nobody asked me for a thing.
